This is a hotel that is worth traveling to. Quiet, great setting, excellent service and a village with good restaurants and an area with great opportunities to explore their wine knowledge. We have stayed here 8 time and will come back and back and back again.

We stayed three nights as part of a group tour.

The hotel is very sweet with a lovely outdoor area and pool. The rooms are nicely decorated, very clean and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable with lovely linens and huge fluffy pillows.

The breakfast had a wide selection and everything was very fresh.

Would definitely recommend it.

Everything about the Corte Gondina is perfect, the rooms are delightful, the breakfast is fabulous and the garden and pool are beautiful. I would recommend it for business, couples, families or friends. It's always a pleasure to spend a few days there and our groups love it. Thank you to all the staff and look forward to seeing you in 2012.

I really do not like to write a bad review and generally refrain from putting anything on trip advisor unless it is positive but this hotel has unfortunately pushed me to the point where I feel I should share a bad experience with anyone thinking of going there.

First the positives:
The pool is beautiful.
The honeymoon suite was lovely - large with a lovely balcony to sit on.
The breakfast was great - much better than others we had had across Italy - the actimels were a nice touch and the variety was good - it was a good healthy breakfast.
We were given a nice bottle of sparkling and nibbles as a honeymoon welcome.

The negatives:
Our greeting was very luke warm (probably to do with the next negative point) and even though it was our first stay of our honeymoon nothing was asked about how the wedding was or any congratulations - we probably could have shrugged this off if it weren't for the next bomb shell.

We stayed at the hotel for four nights in the honeymoon suite. On our second to last night we were told that we would have to move rooms because a very important Swiss Banker was coming to stay. We explained politely that we would not move as we had booked the room months in advance, we liked the room and it was our honeymoon.

When we returned to the hotel the next day after having been out for the full day the hotel staff had moved all of our belongings from the honeymoon suite to the signficantly smaller one next door - even though we had specifically said that we did not want to move - we were frankly disgusted and I was extremely upset. We felt fully violated - not nice to think that someone has been through and touched, moved all of your personal belongings.

I have never felt like a more second rate customer in my whole life and have never ever had such bad customer service - EVER.

They may as well have said - well, the Swiss Bankers are much more important than you so bad luck. They pretty much did.

Although this was a good hotel in general I am shocked that this could have happened to any couple let alone a honeymoon couple.

We were given the room for the final night for free, not really any consolation for how we were made to feel on our honeymoon.
