What an absolute hole. This is by far the worst hotel i have ever had the displeasure of staying in.
We missed our return flight as our 11month old boy became ill during our stay with what was diagnosed as an upper repertory infection. The insurance company acted swiftly and efficiently but unfortunately placed us in the hotel for 1 night after being discharged from hospital. The insurance company will be informed!
So imagine our delight to be placed in a hotel that was far from clean and stank of cigarettes. This i thought would not be a good idea for someone recovering from a breathing disorder
The lady on reception was quite rude but some other members of staff where quite helpful taking our luggage up to our room.
The room was small and grubby and need of some serious refurbishment. There where squashed bugs around the room with the information pack looking like it was used as a swat as it too was covered in squashed bugs. The beds were not nice with old worn sheets and a postage stamp size top sheet that did little to make the occupant feel cosy, that is of course if you where brave enough to get in the bed.
The bathroom was small and grubby with old stiff towels. The shower was luke warm sprayed just about everywhere but where you wanted it too.
For some unknown reason our room had 2 fridges although only one was plugged in! The cabinet that was removed from the room to accommodate the extra fridge was dumped on the dirty balcony. The second fridge had the previous occupants pack lunch it so room service obviously didn't do a thorough job. We didn't venture into the restaurant but after reading other reviews i think we were lucky not to.
The carpets where worn, stained and very dirty so walking bare foot would not be advised. The air-conditioning coughed and spluttered slightly cool air so i'm glad we didn't stay at the height of summer.
The swimming pool looked to be a breeding ground for mosquitoes. It looked like it had not been used for years.
All in all a hotel to be avoided at all costs. The only funny part of our visit was the fact that the hotel still has leaflets at reception showing the hotel in its heyday. These may have been placed there for visitors to use as proof of false advertising as the hotel website still promotes the hotel as it was in its heyday.
All i can add is that when you are offered a hotel as temporary stay for a delayed flight etc is try to look for reviews before agreeing to go there.
