Talbot house has a delightful teashop. The sun was shining the day we arrived and we had afternoon tea in the interesting garden situated behind the main house. The service was very friendly and the scones, cream and were generous in portion. The other cakes on the menu sounded yummy too. Well worth a visit.

This was the first visit i had to talbot house, and i thought it was beautiful the pictures on the website dont do it justice although there nice too. I stayed in the silver room which i was so happy about. Little extras like flowers, and even little cookies in the room just topped it all off, i am definitely coming back soon, to see the AMAZING hosts Jill and Julie, love from Paige and Kessa

We went to chill out for a few days and that's exactly what myself and my partner Ron did.The location is fantastic {Ron is recovering from knee operation so could not walk far.It is plain to see how much work has gone into the refurbishment, we had a tour of every room and would have been happy in any of them.Jill and Julie were lovely hosts and the breakfast was very good with a wide choice.We will certainly be going back and have recommended this place to family and friends.

Stayed for the weekend at Talbot House and discovered a real gem of a place. We were some of the first guests to stay there after the place had been extensively refurbished by the new owners. We enjoyed our stay immensely, due in part to the pleasant company of Jill and Julie, a fabulous spread at breakfast and our quaint comfortable room overlooking the main street. We have booked again for a longer stay in the New Year - looking forward to it already.
