“Very disappointed in our stay!”

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone! My friends and I stayed here last year We booked 1 room for $200 and when we got to our room we found that the toilet would not flush and a light in the bathroom was not working. We reported these problems and were told they would be seen to while we were out for the afternoon and night. Upon our return we found that nothing had been fixed but as it was late, the front desk was closed. When we checked out the next morning we again told the person serving us that our toilet and light were not working and if it was possible for us to get a part refund on our stay. We were told "no, we cannot do that"! We were not even given an apology for the inconvenience that it caused us and to add insult, we were apparently served by the hotel MANAGER!!!

“Cheaper than Joondalup Resort”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

There is not much in accommodation (hotels) to choose from in the Joondalup area, we found this hotel to be clean and well run, but expensive for what it had to offer. We stayed on a Saturday night, and was told upon arrival that the restaurant was closed that evening. Staff were polite, but not friendly. Recommend only due to cleanliness and a little cheaper than the resort.

Room Tip: We were told that Queen beds only were available at this hotel, no singles.

“Great staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

We recently stayed at this resort as it was school holidays and all accommodation near the water was booked out- and we are glad it was! We had a great stay here and the staff were really pleasant and the rooms were great. We really loved the food and though a little expensive it was well worth it. We will be back!

“Great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 April 2011

The poeple who run the Joondalup are wonderful and can't do enough for you.
The rooms are nice and modern.
The food from the restaurant and room service is good for hotel food.
The only issue was that the cleaners turned the Air con off every day when they cleaned so the rooms are hot and stuffy when you get back from the office.
Otherwise, great for business.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 March 2011

CONS - Old style CRT television, only a few Foxtel cable stations (ghosty too), surrounded by residential, no restaurants or shops in immediate vicinity, no underground or secure parking, restaurant closed Sunday nights, not the cleanest place. Bed felt tinny. Hotel and locale felt sterile and lonely - yet almost $200 per night. Internet @ $20 night. Not a good place for single female because it's isolated

PROS - If you're a walker, Lakeside Shopping Centre is a 10-15 walk away as is Edith Cowan University and the city train network. Very quiet!

Next time I'm in Perth I'd stay near Hillarys Wharf marina complex or Scarborough (for beaches and trendy dining), downtown (for a good range of 4 and 5 star hotels) or Fremantle (for cafes and character)
