Our Holiday in Italy was split, the 2nd week was in Viterbo so we wanted somewhere in the middle between Rome and Viterbo to stay for 3 nights and the Alle Tamerici was well placed.
We hired a car and it should only take 25-30 mins but took an hour as it is easy to miss it.
Once there the layout, landscaped gardens, rooms and proximity to the beach are all very good.
But
It is the most frustrating place, it is advertised with a bar & restaurant- what it fails to tell you is it is open from 8 to 10 in the morning for Breakfast and then not again until 8:30 for Dinner. If you want a drink of anything or a snack during the day you need to walk in to town, which granted isn't far away but with a 16mth old far from ideal, or raid the mini bar.
The pool attendant is far to fussy, 1 day was slightly overcast so he decided not to open the pool.
To dry our towels post swimming we hung them over the quaint hedges in front of the room - only to be told we needed to move them.
The restaurant is over priced and not that great (far better to walk into town, where there is a small but acceptable variety and they couldn't be happier to welcome chidren)
Basically this hotel is ideal as stopover for a night on the way to/from the airport but if you have a young family stay away - there is nothing to do here ex a pool you're not allowed to play in.
That said the rooms were clean and well made out and most of the staff were very friendly and the beach is lovely.
