We came from Tirrenia (very bad experience in an aparthotel) into heaven: The Alle Tamerici hotel in Ladispola.
We had to take our car back the following afternoon at the airport. We wanted to stay near the airport and not in the airport for our last day of the holiday in Italy.
We wished we had spend some more time in this hotel.
The owner of this hotel is a Nun and the profit of the hotel goes to the poor children in Africa and Brasil.

The grounds are kept beautifully and it is very quite and relaxing.

I wish I had done more research on Ladispoli before coming here. It is a basic resort not that inviting to be honest. The hotel though was lovely with beautiful grounds and pool, the rooms were basic but comfy. The service at reception was excellent and they gave us recommendations for dinner which we appreciated.
My only gripe was that the pool shuts at 18:00 which I thought was quite annoying as it was our last two days on holiday and we wanted to make the most of the sun. Breakfast was average.

After picking up my car in Fiumicino I needed to stay somewhere towards the port of Civitavecchia. This place was a real find and VERY reasonable, probably because it was off season. Next to the beach, but too cold to swim. Nice people, nice ambiance, and interesting story about the building. Town of Ladispoli nothing to write home about, but better than Civitavecchia and even Fiumicino near airport. Interesting Etruscan sites in the area.

We traveled with our extended family (15) on a cruise out of Rome. We chose this small hotel as close to the port (20 minutes) and close to Rome (25 minutes). The hotel is delightful and very clean with staff that want to help you. Located next to the beach, there is a boardwalk to stroll on. This is clearly a vacation spot for Italians. The pool and gardens are beautiful and spotless. The small restaurant is terrific for breakfast and sitting outside in the garden setting was an exceptional way to start the day. Dinner is a little pricey , but there are ample places to choose from on the boardwalk. The adults and teenagers enjoyed their stay. The only drawback is that the rooms are a little spare. However, all the other wonderful aspects of the hotel make it a great alternative to staying in Rome. We got into the city in 25 minutes by taxi. The price is excellent making the hotel a great value. When we get lucky enough to go to Rome again, we will definitely return to this charming hotel.
