I spent two nights at Earthsong Lodge, to recharge my batteries. Great Barrier is a wonderful oasis, so close to Auckland, but far enough away to feel like a tropical escape. Trevor's food is thoughtfully prepared with so many flavours it appeals to all your senses. Carol is delighful and has spent many hours in the garden making it a wonderful escape. I enjoyed myself so much, I would love to have a romantic get away with my husband next time. You are spoilt with such a wonderful views and the fantastic company of your hosts. Recommended to all I speak with.

The views are lovely and peaceful. The house is hidden in the local native bush from where you will enjoy the sight of local NZ birds coming to feast! The proprietors were very helpful and friendly and put on a delicious spread. Superb setting, superb island and superb spot to see it from!

Due to Gt Barrier not being on electricity grid no mini fridge in room - but owners put our small picnic pack in theirs.
Very relaxing, laid back, wonderful place and people. Easy to unwind. No need to go out for dinner - an amazing dining experience every night with lovely sunsets- loved the entire stay.

Great Barrier Island with it's old New Zealand charm and the combination with EartSong Lodge is the best.
