This hotel is a pleasant surprise - located a bit out of town amid coconut trees and a lot of greenery, its a pleasant change from its rather arid surroundings.
The rooms are very spacious though not as well appointed as the ones at the GRT hotel. It was pleasant have one's morning coffee sitting in the large balcony into which the branches of a jamun tree reached out..
Non vegetarian food was very good and reasonably priced but vegetarians were not as happy as they should have been. The complimentary breakfast was rather limited and they do not serve alcohol in the restaurant. The bar is quite dark and a bit dingy but one can have a drink in the breezy veranda that flanks the bar. The veranda that flanks the restaurant and overlooks the lawns is also a pleasant place to sit . They also serve food and liquor on the lawns , which was a pleasure that I could not enjoy as it rained every evening during my stay.
The hotel also offers cottages and is a good place for families with small children as besides the children's play area there is a lot of place for them to run around
The service, like in many small town hotels, is not as efficient as one would like it to be.
