Location: Walking distance to everything but in quiet area. The taxi driver didn't know how to find this place until I said "Los Yutzos dos". That's the former name and still known to locals by it.
Check in: easy and welcoming.
The room: adequate sizes for one to eight travelers. The room was spotless and cleaned daily. Has fans to keep you cool plus windows with screens. The hotel itself is behind a locked gate and I felt very safe as a solo traveler.
The staff: Guido, his wife, and staff were beyond helpful and kind. They will also do your laundry for $4.
The sleep: I fell into a deep sleep each night to the sounds of the rushing river and jungle night creatures. The beds are very comfy. The owner is also not tolerant of loud stupid guests.
Overall: For the price he should have included breakfast but doesn't, but the location right on the river makes up for that. Plus you are walking distance to many good eats anyway. I would stay here again.

Was going to stay 5 days and decided to stay 10 :) Good location closed to bars and restaurants. Stayed on the river side... and my room was spotlessly clean... Staff were very friendly all in all a nice quite and safe place to stay...

Good hotel overlooking the river; unfortunately the breakfast was not available (maybe because it was low season? I think we were the only ones in the hotel...) Anyway it has a good position and it's easy to find a place to eat.

I visited La Posada as a tourleader with a group of students from the United States and Canada. We chose La Posada because it is reasonably priced and centrally located with views overlooking the river. I was very pleased with my stay at La Posada until I MISTAKENLY misplaced a wallet of money. I brought my concern to the owner, instisting that the wallet had been in the room in the morning and missing in the evening. He was responsive and helpful and informed the authorities. It turned out that I had misplaced my wallet at the bottom of a bag, but nevertheless the staff was helpful and responsive.
