“Excellent hotel experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

We have just returned on the 25th of January from a 7 day holiday at this hotel. As a late choice of holiday destination we were unsure what to expect after reading the mixed reviews already logged.
However, we were pleased with the whole experience. Check in only took about 5 minutes. We had a ground floor room in a quiet block at the furthest end from the kids pool which suited us fine. Caught the late sunshine and was sheltered.
Food choice was first class. We were on half board which normally leaves us to suit ourselves at lunchtime, but this was not necessary as the all you can eat breakfast was more than enough to keep you going during the day. Evening meals were the same format. The choices on the menus were first class, always a selection of pasta, meat, fish plus show cooking every night. We had at least 3 Themed nights ie Chinese, Mexican, Spanish which still had excellent choices to make.
There is plenty of space to find a sunny spot as there are different levels around the pools and in the garden areas.
The beach is only 2 minutes away once you exit the rear gate. Remember to take a room key as the gate has a lock on it for getting back in.
Getting a bus to go into Jandia and Morro Jable is easy as you just turn left when you leave the hotel.
The entertainment is a bit mixed, but still enjoyable. Something on each night. It was a bit chilly at night, but the downstairs bar had the patio heaters on for sitting out.
We would return to this hotel very happily as it was a great place for a relaxing break.

“Xmas/New Year Holiday”

We have just returned from the Princess (9/1/2012) having spent 2 weeks there. Our 5th visit and 3rd over Xmas/Newyear. We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful from check-in; dining room; housekeepers and bars. Check-in took approx 5 mins. Food is plentiful and a good choice each day with the 25th and 31st December being tremendous. The hotel is not so busy in December and this makes life probable more comfortable than in the summer peak. The hotel and the south of the island cater for German holidaymakers more than Brits but having visited Corralejo a number of times over the years we know which part of the island we prefer.
The weather was lovely for the 2 weeks and as we had hired a car from the airport we were able to visit the islands towns and beaches. Well worth the expense.
We would have no hesitation in recommending the Princess as a holiday destination. We read other critical reviews and think they are discussing a different hotel. If you want a 5 * hotel try the Riu in Jandia but you will find the cost to be considerably more expensive. You get what you pay for.

“fuerteventura princess christmas 2011”

We were originally booked all inclusive at the nearby Jandia Princess - and were very unhappy to be wearing uncomfortable wrist bands for a week. Had read previous reviews so no great surprises - except we really could not complain- ok hotel is a bit tired here and there, but we had a wonderful week. We had a seaview room as requested, with balcony overlooking the pool - cleaned every day by a lovely lady. Food was always plentiful and although not gourmet, we always found a good selection. Unfortunately all-inclusive were in a different area of the restaurant which seemed unnecessary. Not sure what a previous reviewer meant by a different type of holidaymaker with the all-inclusive. Everyone was very friendly, and we felt very safe in the hotel complex - certainly we never saw any druken revellers.

Pools clean, well maintained, although the naturist pool was cold.

All in all we were more than happy with the hotel, facilities, food etc. We usually stay in 5-star hotels, and were prepared for a lower standard. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Read the reviews, but do not worry too much about some of the negative points.

Just enjoy the sun, relax and enjoy.

Very nice and quite place with possibility for sport activities (yoga) and delicious foot. Just buy a drinking water outside the hotel otherwise you will pay 2 Euro for 0.5l.

“fab new year”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

spent a week here and celebrated the new year aswell. This was our 2nd visit, 1st one 9 yrs ago,had a good room with a sea view, food was good ,entertainment not so good and it doesnt start til 9,30 so dont have your dinner too early as it is along wait otherwise, local bus every 30 mins to town with good selection of shops ,weather hot but gets cold at night. take a kettle for your room and a warm dressing gown as the room gets chilly after 6pm in winter, fab new year, unlimited drinks and food on new yr eve , music great and staff went to a lot of trouble to make you welcome, germans still put towels on beds and dont use them , it needs to be addressed as it is unfair , pool was cold even though heated but i did brave it with our 12 yr old, brrrrrr.

Room Tip: ask for a high room with sea view
