lovely hotel, lots too do a big resort, food was ok but lots of choice!
rooms were comfortable and clean, a bit of a walk to the beach but we new that when we booked the hotel, we stayed mostly round the pool and went to the beach twice the 7 days we where there!
Entertaiment we thought was quite good.
i defennetly recommend renting a car to explore the island its beautiful, the island caleta de fuge i think its called lol its lovely there.

We stayed in the premium section of the hotel, which is right next to the main reception. The pool area was very peaceful during the day and there seemed to be plenty of entertainment in the main part for the evening, (although, other than venturing down to the talent show for other than one act we didn’t really spend much time there). The choice and quality of the food was excellent, again I can only comment of the premium section. What we did particularly like was the a la carte restaurant in the evening which gave a nice break from buffet food. Every single member of staff we met was extremely pleasant and professional. From being unsure (even sceptical) about holidaying all inclusive, we are already planning a return trip next year.

stayed in the premium part of the hotel, although like others have said the premium bar finishes at 8 and then over at the other hotel, we actually thought it gave us best of both worlds quiet and relaxing through the day and livelier at night with a good animation team shocolatto and aisla were lovely. food was good branded drinks heated pool clean comfortable room attentive staff it certainly ticked all our boxes. We were lucky and met some lovely couples which added to and enhanced our experience.

Stayed at this hotel recently for one week, we booked with Thomas Cook & although they package it as 'Jandia Resort' it is in fact two separate hotels, the Mar at the top of the VERY steep hill & the Playa half way down. Having read the reviews we decided to go for the Playa & e-mailed our request in advance, the mini-bus drops you off at the Mar, everyone on our bus was staying at the Mar & we got the the feeling unless you ask for the Playa they put you in the Mar? They send a taxi to take you the couple of hundred yards back down the hill to the Playa which was quite amusing!!

Found the Jandia Playa an excellcent hotel, immaculate grounds & pool areas, food was usual all-inclusive fare. The only thing that stopped me giving it top marks is that the rooms were a little jaded with old fashioned furnishings (we were in block 7) & the shower had a life of its own, TV selection was also poor with CNN & BBC world news being the only two english channels.

As mentioned in other reviews the British are a minority in this hotel with it seeming to be mainly Spanish & German guests, although this did not bother us, if you are the type who likes to be surrounded by lots of fellow brits & pubs showing sky sports this is prob not the place for you, as apart from the walk down to the superb beach there is not much around the hotel.

Top tip - spend your days down by the spa, lovely pool, plenty of sunbeds, & very peaceful away from the main pools & noisey animation team blaring out music all afternoon.
