“10 Years and counting....”

I sat with my husband trying to work out how many years I had been staying at Mullions for my annual Christmas shop, we reckoned 10. It is a lovely place to stay and yes, some people may say it has it's quirks, but quite frankly this is far better than some faceless hotel chain. The rooms are clean, the bedding fresh. If the floorboards creak it's because some of the building is a couple of hundred years old. I creak at 40!

I have stayed in far worse for a lot more money, this is a B&B that cares and doesn't feel that a plug in air freshener should be in every room. That's because there is no smell to try and hide. Think about that next time you find one.

The staff are lovely, polite and courteous. Breakfast is calm and plentiful, fruit, yogurt, cereal and a full english, more than enough to set you on your way.

I adore this little place, long may it continue!

“A gem of a place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011

Just had a 2 night break at Mullions. Standard room was very good (beat some more expensive ones we have used in other places) Ideal for touring, and shopping!! Staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was very good. Great to have free parking as well. Will use again if i the area.

“BRILLIANT”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2011

I have stayed at the Mullions since October 2010 and have had no complaint. The owners are polite and friendly, the staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast is good. Location perfect for work and shopping.
I would certainly recommend this hotel and certainly stay again.

Thank you Mullions for the stay.

“If you don't want a good nights sleep-stay here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2010

I can confirm that my friends and I had a terrible nights sleep, on what should have been a pleasurable girlie weekend of Christmas shopping. We were on the ground floor and it sounded like a bowling alley above us for most of the night.

During breakfast in the cold dining room the air became considerably blue. This time not from the chill but from a drunken resident, who actually turned up by taxi for breakfast and had been out all night.

There is no-one to contact for help during the night and my friends and I felt quite vulnerable. We had saved up and planned this weekend away for a long time. It certainly was not cheap and we expected a better service and overnight stay than this.

I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

“The Worst Experience of My Life!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2010

Stayed with two friends while on a shopping trip to nearby Clarks Village, we shared a room on the ground floor. We were kept awake all night due to the noisiest residents I have ever heard, the racket went on all night long. We tried reporting it to reception at 0400hrs but there is no-one there at night and we certainly did not feel safe to venture from our room to investigate it ourselves. We went exhausted to breakfast, whilst there a very drunken guest arrived, his language and behaviour was awful. Despite this nothing was said to him and he was served breakfast while he continued his foul mouthed tirrade and ranting. We had already complained about the noise that had prevented any of us getting any sleep, we then complained about his language and behaviour. To say the staff were dismissive of our complaints would be an understatement, it was "oh well we can't be responsible for the guests". Whilst I appreciate this, we should never have been subjected to such dreadful behaviour, somebody should have insisted he leave the room instead we felt forced to retreat back to our room. As we were checking out the owner came along who's only comment was that he hoped it wouldn't stop us from visiting again. Despite our serious complaints, we were charged the full amount (and it's not cheap) for no sleep and having to cut breakfast short, It turns out they regularly have groups of young men staying who are working locally. I will certainly never go back and had such a bad experience am considering further action, surerly when taking our money they have a duty of care to us? We had a great evening meal at the Bull next door and will stay there next time, the staff were very friendly and it's more reasonably priced.
