I don't usually do reviews so this will be brief. This was probably the most relaxing holiday I have ever been on.

Don't normally write reviews, however Glyfada Beach Villas is a location that deserves one.

A small scale resort beautifully located on a hillside overlooking the Ionian sea with stunning views of Corfu and the Greek mainland. The accommodation comprises of a number of villas and bungalows nestled between the olive trees and conifers with open views of the sea below. Being situated on a hillside also has its draw backs in the form of steep paths from the beach, but it will keep you fit.

Getting there takes some time and effort but this is only a good thing as it is not a major holiday destination for the hordes.

If its piece and quiet you’re looking for then Paxos is the place to head for. It’s relatively unspoilt by the ‘English breakfast and Sunday lunch brigade’ and has numerous excellent restaurants located in any of the three main villages. These friendly and relaxing villages are located at the sea and the centers are closed to cars adding to the easy going and relaxing atmosphere as you wander through the streets looking for a restaurant for the evening.

The accommodation at Glyfada is basic but more than adequate and is well cleaned on a regular basis. The showers are a bit on the shabby side and could do with some refurbishment, but will still leave you fresh and clean after a hard day on the beach. Each of the villas has a large terrace over looking the sea below, the only down side being the lack of shade with the mid day sun shining directly over head.

The breakfast location is superb, situated on a terrace over looking the beach. A perfect way to begin the day.

The owner Spirios is friendly and accommodating and more than happy to arrange boats, taxis etc for you. He is an excellent and professional host.

Its hard to imagine that some people run into problems and spoil there stay here, and they should probably take a good look at their own behavior and attitude rather than start blaming the locals or should just stay at home in England with its proper working toilets.

In summary, a relaxing and friendly home from home and well worth returning to.

This visit to Glyfada Beach Villas was my (eighth?) in th Need I say more thna that I , my family, and my friends return regularly?
Spiros and Doreen are perfect hosts, the food in their taverna is excellent greek cooking, all the staff without exception work hard to make your holiday enjoyable.

We have just returned from a fortnight's vacation at the Glyfada and it was fantastic. The resort met each and every one of our expectations with hosts who could not be more accomodating. We are very frequent travellers and have stayed in some beautiful places. However the magic of Glyfada is being able to wake up everyday to a beautiful clear blue sea and falling asleep to a blanket of stars.
Holidays are meant for relaxing and at Glyfada, this is certainly true. The owners of the resort are wonderful people and the earlier less positive reviews do not hold up!
