If you're in town for motorsport, this is the perfect destination.
Situated right next to the track and the visitor's centre, the hotel is new and sparkling.
But the great bonus I experienced was the excellent customer service - special thanks to the fromt-of-house manager, Anna.
Our visit was a spontaneous stop on the way to Holland, so we had no prior booking. The weekend we visited there was a race on but it wasn't overly busy, so we were upgraded to a 5th floor suite. The rooms are new and modern, spacious, comfortable, and the bathroom lovely.
If racing isn't your thing (it's not mine) then be prepared for a rest rather than much alternative activity. To that end, there's a small gym and a 'wellness centre' which includes very good saunas (2 temperatures) and a steam room. You can pay extra for a variety of massage treatments, but I can't comment on these.
There's a good quality restaurant on-site which is actually important as there's no immediate neighbourhood to pop out for a bite to eat. (The town of Nurburg is a short drive away) Dinner is a bit pricey, but the buffet breakfast has the broadest choice I've ever seen, all of it good. There's also a well-stocked bar, and interestingly a 'cigar room' in the downstairs public area.
The front-of-house staff could not have been more obliging. They arranged a variety of activities for us, and no request was too much trouble. They're a credit to the hotel and were the highlight of our stay.
Parking was included on-site, but broadband internet was extra.
