In a country where customer service is still a relatively 'new' concept, it was wonderful to find a place that 'gets it'. Every single staff member we met was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable and did the job nicely. With such an extensive menu, we had doubts about how good the food might be. Silly to worry - it ranks amongst the best meal I've had in the two years I've been in Hungary. The wine selection, though limited, was just right. Sited in a rural setting, this former communist summer retreat is quite evocative of days gone by. Whether as a base for exploring the region or an overnight stop on the way to Romania or Ukraine, it's perfect. I loved it. And I'll be back. A double room, two sharing, with dinner for two and a bottle of wine was about 16000 huf - (€60/£50/$85). Cash only though - no credit cards!
