It is a shame I can't record smell. The thick, vile smell of a chippy shop, the unwashed carpet was so strong even the eye watering disinfectant could not cover it. You want to familiarise yourself with local music unvoluntarely listening to Hungarian pop folk over the night played on cheap synthetisers? You're in the perfect place then. I couldn't belive my eyes, nose and ears this dump an establishment like this can exist today, in the middle of Europe.
Belive me, I'm not over reacting, I'm spending 100+ nights in hotels in different countries every year, including Sub Saharan Africa, so I judge a hotel in context. If this is the no.1 accomodation in Nyiregyhaza then stay in Tokaj or Debrecen.
