My wife and I stayed at the Atrium Hotel in Potos for two weeks in June 2009. The hotel looks just as good as their website promised. The room was spacious and modern, quite a surprise for such a small greek town like Potos. Plenty of closets and drawers so we could store all our stuff for a two-week holiday. The balcony was confortable and had a nice view, though unfortunately in the second week we had a noisy family as next-door neighbors and they spent nights talking loud in the balcony which ended up being quite annoying... The bathroom was also spacious and featured a good shower. Cable-tv with many channels, most of them Greek except for some German exceptions (most of the guests are from Germany).
Breakfast buffet and dinner were included in the package. Food was nice and offered plenty of choices, including many traditional Greek dishes for us to try. I am allergic to tomatoes and after speaking to the hotel management they started to offer at least one hot dish without tomatoes every night during my stay (believe it or not, in our first night literally every single hot dish contained tomatoes). The restaurant staff was very friendly, especially Cristina, the head waitress, who always made sure to cater to everyone's needs with a smile on her face.
There is a decent speed internet connection in the room (cable) and also wifi (though our room was not located in the best spot in the hotel, so the connection was not very stable). Hwever the wifi worked perfectly in the garden, pool area and even on the beach.
The pool is pleasant, though not very big. The really nice details is that the hotel is right on Potos Beach, so we could easily walk from the pool to the beach for a swim (or for lunch in a Taverna) and then come back to relax.
The hotel is located near the far end of Potos Beach, so it doesn't get crowded and you can rest or swim in peace. It can be very relaxing both during the day and night, and you are only a short walk (10min by the beach) to the center of Potos where all the tavernas, bars, restaurants and shops are located.
There is much more to write about Atrium Hotel, but to make a long story short I'd like to say my wife and I had a very pleasant holiday where we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was very good (the best we've had in years travelling to Greece) and the staff was just very friendly, especially the following people: Giorgio (the manager), Vassili (night portier) and Catarina (head waitress). It certainly made our trip even more special, offering a lot of comfort in such a small place like Potos.
Highly recommended! As a matter of fact, we are even considering returning in September to catch the end of the season, which we were told is just as good as early June.
