“Just as Arnie says, I'll be back!!!!”

If you want a hotel with unfriendly uncaring staff, no atmosphere, tiny rooms, rubbish food, no large garden to relax in, no bar with a HUGE tv, wifi that you are charged for and a welcome that only your EX in-laws can give you AFTER you broke their only daughters heart and bank account then I am afraid this is NOT the place for you.
BUT if you want a hotel with staff who work there because they want to, a superb atmosphere, spacious rooms, fabulous home cooked food (the chilli and lasagne=WOW), a massive garden, a bar with a mean cider large tv and rioja by the bottle, FREE wifi and a welcome that I would expect from my family then this is the place for you!!!!
This hotel is over 200 years old and If I owned it I would be overjoyed at the Irish lady in a previous post saying it is dated back to the 1970s. She is only 170+ years out.
I have stayed in many hotels over the years and this is the only one that feels like a home and I cant wait to go back.

Booked this place for one night, (glad it was only one night) Rooms are old and the bed was the worse bed I have ever slept in really cheap hard thin mattress.Room was clean apart from the duvet cover which had an old stain on it had to ask to have it changed.Breakfast was just ok,I think its more a B&B for truckers.Overall disappointed with this place definately it is not what it advertises on its web site.Old 70s appearance needs a total revamp especially the bedrooms get rid of the beds !

I travel with business most of the time and I must say this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Relaxed, cosy & very welcoming. The food is A1. I will be staying here as much as I can when I am in this area. Great place.

Colder in room at the back due to draft from window. Not recommended.
Breakfast nice and location close to town.

Stayed on business, found the hosts very welcoming, but neither lamps in my room worked, and the heater was dismal - absolutely freezing in the room. Dinner was brought up to me, and it was OK. Nothing special.
