We needed a hotel close to the Ferry to Puttgarden after holidaying in Sweden. WE now had a little baby, so couldn't drive the whole way in one day anymore.
There is only one hotel in Rodby, and from the outside, we didn't hope for much as it loked so dated. At first their machine wouldn't take either of our debit cards, so we had to go the bank to get money out -don'y know why that happened.
The staff were lovely, and were very helpful with our little boy. The room was LOVELY, really spacious, with a great big bed and sofas. Only german TV but we didn't watch it anyway.
Better than anything was the food in the restaurant, it was out of this world! Unbelievable- really lovelt seafood and some great steak. They also had veggie food. They had a high chair for our little son too. The breakfast was a great banquet of fresh fruit, cheeses, wonderful bread, just wonderful.
This hotel is well worth either stopping before getting on the ferry and catching the ferry the next morning, or going the other way, travelling on the ferry and booking into the hotel, rather than on Puttgarden - as the hotels around their aren't great.
