We stayed in the Bahia Lodge near the end of our 6 month round the world trip. Looking at the photos again brings back so many great memories of this place. Capurgana itself is nice, but if you really want to get away from it all and completely relax, give Lothar a shout and he'll collect you at the harbour and bring you across to his hideaway. Wonderful cabin rooms and a gloriously romantic stay. We spent 3 nights on Sapzurro and loved every minute. The views on the beach are just spectacular - the sounds of the ocean at night so soothing! There's a nice restaurant/bar area to relax and read (if you get tired of the hammocks, which are extra-large and sleep addictive). And, if you're Irish, Lothar may even treat you to some Van Morrison! Top notch host and stay. If you make it this far north in Columbia, you must stay here!

Bahia Lodge is a jewel, a hidden paradise! The comfortable Cabanas seem to have grown out naturally among the plants, flowers, and palm trees. The atmosphere is grand. And Lothar the owner is in the business of providing satisfaction to his clientele. A fantastic gem at a reasonable cost...
