Well maintained cottages with all the amenities of home. We have stayed several times and are planning on returning in 2010. Beautiful spot for a winter vacation.

We are a family that went for two nights in July 2009. We had four cottages. We were very satisfied with the cottages. Everything is VERY CLEAN and all is included: (hair dryer, towels, sheets, BBQ, picnic table, dishes, etc...) In a couple of the cottages we had a small electric fireplace. Very nice. We also rented the larger room for a day. It was great, very roomy, with a fireplace, large square table that easily sits 20, couches, air conditionning , BBQ etc... We had rain for our family supper and were very pleased to have rented the family room. The view to the sea is very nice. We plan on returning next year. Would recommend it. Charlo is not a very big place but this is recommended.
- having homemade ice cream at the Irving close by.
- having lunch and dessert at the cute cafe not far from the cottages
-taking a walk on the beautifule walking trail within 1 minute of the cottages
-going to the cute very nice gift store. It is close to the church in Charlo. Alot of wonderful things.

These cottages are not luxurious but are clean, comfortable, and excellent value. They are just a 5 minute drive to a top notch cross-country ski venue. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back for future ski trips.

We stayed at Heron's Nest Cottages in 2008 and thoroughtly enjoyed our vacation. The accomodations were clean. equipped with all cooking essentials including BBQ, well maintained and the staff could not have been more helpful. The ocean views are relaxing and the entrance to the Charlo Walking trail is on the grounds for those wanting a pleasant walk through the woods.
In fact, we were so pleased, we have planned our family reunion for this year at Heron's Nest. Relatives are coming from all over the country and many are staying at the various cottages based upon our recommendation.
