If you arrive at night you may wonder if you have made a huge mistake. We did. The hotel is out of the way and we had a taxi transfer from the airport, so we were the only ones 'arriving'. The rooms are basic but spacious and all have balconies. What this place doesn't have in facilities it has in atmosphere. Dimitri is a bit dour but he will bend over backwards to help. He recommended a local restaurant to eat in, which was fab (don't order too much though, the portions are huge) and dropped us off in the minibus to save us a taxi fare. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels everyday. Grounds are well maintained and the pool is clean and a good size. All the staff are friendly and helpful and Tote makes a great cocktail. We had a fab time here. Eating, drinking, laughing and relaxing. Recommend this place for a great, inexpensive, all inclusive break. Our thanks to Dimitri, his family and all his staff for a great holiday.

Together with another couple, we returned to the Hotel Meliton for the second time on 29th October. We booked via "lowcostholidays.com" and got a great deal.
The hotel is slightly out of the way, so you really could do with a car. You also need it to explore Rhodes town and the beautiful resort of Lindos - both "must see".
Nothing is too much for the staff in this family-run hotel, they really try to ensure you enjoy the stay.
Don't expect 5* - but for the money, it is brilliant. They do a couple of nights entertainment - Greek dancing etc, but its pretty low-key. Ideal for that getaway break.
The nearest beach is a 10 / 15 minutes walk and is pebbles - take your jelly shoes!
We are already talking of next-years visit.

The Meliton is a little remote but due to dimitris mini bus the beach is not far at all. Hes happy (he doesnt always look it lol) to drop you off at the bus stop on route. The room we had looked over the bar area and was cleaned every day with fresh towels and bedding. The pool was a great temperature and loungers were always available. Food was tasty. We will eat lots of foods so the limited choice wasnt a problem for us. Maybe a meat option on fish evening would be appreciated by many. We stayed the15th-22nd Sept and thankfully didnt need to pay for the air con as there was a nice breeze coming into the room. A fridge would of been great but to be fair we didnt ask for one. Others did and got one. We just took advantage of the all inclusive and took a nice cool ouzo up to the room when getting ready. We hired a quad from reception and went across the island to lindos (the most gorgeous place but dont go to the castle on a monday like we did at 5pm cos it shuts at 2.40pm!! every other day its shuts at 6.40pm) It would of been 30 euros for the two of us return to lindos via rhodes (lovely place visited twice 2.60 euros each)
but we took the dearer but much more fun option 40 euros for larger engine quad. We did need to put 25 euros of petrol in but what a laugh. On the way back there was road works and we missed our turn off and ended up in Falaraki!!!! If you want a nice clean place to stay then the Meliton is for you. Youll meet great people like we did and at the bargain price we paid well worth it. Happy Hols x
