This place is a great Kiwi host place. The studio room I stayed in for one night was small but IMMACULATELY clean and well appointed. OK, somewhat dated, but the sky tv, plunger coffee, free wireless internet, comfy bed, efficient heater on a cold night and friendly service was awesome and also great value at $115. Very quiet as well. For a short stay, I would look forward to it again.

Management is unprofessional and rude and just mean spirited. Tried to cancel a reservation with 55 hours notice and refused. The room was paid for and would not let anyone use it. Take your money elsewhere - you will be glad you did

We stayed here for 4 nights in the Townhouse which is basically a 2 bedroom house with large lounge, full kitchen, dining room etc. (several living areas). Whilst there were only 2 of us it can accomodate up to 10 ppl on a variety of beds, bunks, sofas. It was very spacious, clean and had all the amentities you could want including a 3 in 1 stereo, large flatscreen TV, full size fridge/freezer, excellent heating, good bathroom and shower. Comfortable bed and sofas. The owners/managers were very helpful. Wifi was cheap at NZD10 for 24 hours. Short walk to the beach, shops, restaurants. Can recommend Fed-up for Fish and Chips and Muang Thai Restaurant.
Stayed in a Studio Room last year/2010- compact yet has all the basics and at a much cheaper price. The Studio was fine for a short stay but the Townhouse is more spacious, well appointed and comfortable.
We wouldn't have any hesitation returning there.
