Friendly,helpful staff,in an UNOBTRUSIVE manner.Arrived in Ko Samu iin the middle of the night WITHOUT a hotel reservation.Not my usual way to travel.
Looked into the Nora Beach Hotel.Exorbitant prices for nothing justifiable.
Took a chance a cross the road @ the Bay View.I was showed to a palatial villa in he middle of the night by a very friendly gentleman.
Large,hexagonal villa,domed wooden ceiling,French panorama windows,a huge,comfortable bed,a large bathroom.....and all surrounded by a lush perfumed tropical garden.The villas were well-spaced out and QUIET!What a view!I thought I was in heaven.FREE internet in the rooms.[as opposed to the mega-buck Nora Beach hotel]
There was also access to the nearby beach,a 3 minute walk,although the place is on the hill-side.
The staff was accomodating and helpful without being too pushy.
Great roof pool,good atmosphere. Cannot praise the place enough.Would come here again.

We stayed here in December 2008, so a little while ago. We enjoyed out time here, but I felt that 10 days in Chaweng was a bit long. The rooms and staff are very nice, and the staff are eager to please. We had two gala dinners for Christmas Day and NYE which were excellent and the staff are definitely keen for you to enjoy yourself and we had loads of lanterns.

On NYE we were keen to get down to the beach to partake in the festivities as the hotel is a bit of a trek from Chaweng, but it is much quieter and more restful. We walked into Chaweng every night although the road isn't great it is paved most of the way.

It has been said before that this resort is quite hilly. This wasn't an issue for us, as we read on here about it beforehand, and it was actually quite nice getting a little bit of a workout on the way up to breakfast.

We had a jacuzzi attached to our villa, however, because it was outside, I did get a nasty bite one night which was a little off putting, other than that there weren't any bugs!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but perhaps 10 days is too long (it was for us)!

I and my friend stayed there for 3 nights with one day tour to Angthong national park, everything was good with food ,service, accommodation , service transport , and especially I celebrated my friend birthday there with special cake, the staff enjoyed with us it was very good time. Thank you for all staffs especially reception.
