We have just arrived home from a stay at the Nora beach. We had a Sea view room and it was fantastic. Very spacious with everything you need, The best part was the view.... Priceless.
Breakfast was wonderful and loads to chose from. The staff was friendly and some was very helpful.
The only negative i would give is the size of the resort and you need to be pretty fit to walk around or even just to go tp breakfast!
It is all built on a hill so pretty exausting, however the staff are on hand to drive you to and from your rooms on buggys if needed.
If you want a quiet time then this is perfect however if you want any kind of night life or shopping then Chaweng is not far but not close enough to walk. We had to rely on Taxi's or Tuck tucks to get in but works out quite expensive. The hotel advertise a bus that goes into Chaweng hourly at 50 baht but not once was charged this amount! One occasion we was charged 200 baht and another 80 baht... no consistency and considering how much we paid to stay i would have liked maybe a free bus in? The only other thing was they had a us in to Chaweng but not one back? We spent quite a lot of our holiday money on cabs.
However in spite of this i would reccomend this hotel.

I picked this resort on the basis of the reviews and was not at all disappointed.

We stayed in a standard room which was great. (We only really slept and dressed there). The standard of cleanliness was great. the room was serviced to a pretty good standard everyday.

The location was great, but it depends what you are after. personally, I would not want to stay in Chaweng as it was pretty full-on and commercial. The resort is about 2k from the centre of town and the "tuk-tuk" cost about 50 bht (can get it cheaper) each way.

The pool and the beach are perfect. you are away from the hustle and bustle and it is a great place to relax. Even the beach vendors are more laid back.

Overall, we loved the place. Would recommend.

This may have been a 3-star review were it not for a complimentary upgrade we received to a beach side villa, which was a lovely room with its own pool and all mod cons.

The service at Nora Beach is good but not really consistent. Food was lovely one day but inedible the next (avoid the duck and white snapper at the dinner restaurant). It was not great value food either. Breakfast was decent.

Staff are very friendly mainly although front desk personnel aren't great. Housekeeping was erratic also and we went without fresh towels for 2 days. Consumables such as soap were never replaced.

Atmosphere wasn't great and hotel is full of Russian guests who are rude and aggressive.

New Years gala was expensive but good fun and well prepared. Food was exquisite.

Why choose anywhere else for Mama Jacquie's 50th celebration!?

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the firendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. We arrived early to find that our rooms were already ready and meticulously presented. No matter which part of the resort, there were fantastic views to be had!- the walk up the hill was sometimes a challenge, but golf buggies were on hand to give us a ride after we had had too much of the sumptious breakfast

What can we say about the breakfast?
Best spread imaginable, from fresh waffles and chefs on hand to cook eggs whichever way you wished- not to mention top notch hygiene.- each morning was a foodies delight that we talk about still so many months on!.

A special thank you to the General Manager, Venice and all of thier staff for thier phenomenal hospitablity- knowing our names and remembering our orders each morning! our list could go on!.

Another thank you goes out to the pool bar staff, Than(g?), Thien and James and others who made drinking in a tropical paradise all the more fun! Good Tunes, Good cocktails, great views.

Thank you to the always smiling security staff who ensured we crossed safely several times per day!
To the Maintenance Staff and Gardeners- thank you for keeping such an immaculate resort for us.

What a safe fantastic place is was to stay for a group of 4 women.
