“Most pleasant, enjoyable stay, no regrets..”

After many hours of googling, I'm glad I chose this hotel. Our rooms was upgraded from superior and deluxe to pool villas which was superb cos the 2 units were next to one another connected through an opening, so my kids were within easy reach. Enjoyed our stay tremendously. Nice location, takes 20mins to walk to town centre along the road, but one could also walk along the beach in shorter time and its nice. Breakfast spread was good too. Hotel staffs are ever so helpful and friendly. Pool villa rooms are really spacious, comfy with best facilities and fully recommended cos you dont need to worry about booking lounge chairs (which I observed) by the small main pool.

“Great location and value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

This hotel is situated at the quiet end of Cheweng beach. The staff are a delight and the quality of the accommodation for the price is excellent. The only negative I found was the rather noisy air conditioning in the room at night which you definitely need but can wake you up now and again. I would go back though.

Room Tip: Superior room is worth paying a little extra for.

“Pool villas are bliss...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

This resort looks to have two parts - an older part (with hotel rooms and bungalows) and a much newer part (pool villas). I'm not sure I'd be so keen on the older hotel rooms, but the pool villa was brilliant. Very modern and spacious room with en suite bathroom and floored area outside that contains a spa and separate swimming pool. With a high fence all around your little enclave it makes for a perfect dip in your own little oasis. The pool literally sits right at your doorstop and creates quite a lovely feeling. The resorts main pool is decidely much less flash - it needs some attention (wood flooring around it is tired and breaking away in parts). It's clean, but not particularly awe inspiring. The breakfast was great (quite a bit to choose from, with eggs cooked to order), and the eating area goes right up to the beach front. The beach front this resort has is often underwater, although you can almost walk it down to the more populous part of Chaweng Beach. I liked being a little bit away from the noise and bustle of Chaweng, but knowing it was only a five to ten minute walk away.
If the resort was only the beach villas it would have been five stars - but the older bits (but still well kept and leafy) makes it a four point rating overall.

“Decent hotel”

We were there during high tide so didn't get a chance to enjoy the beachfront access except late one night. Otherwise the water came all the way up to the hotel, and we were entertained by the splashing of the waves in the morning while we ate breakfast. Breakfast was satisfactory, and our room was quite spacious. I'm not sure if it was just because we stayed in a superior room, but the room itself seemed quite dated and in need of a renovation. Our room faced into the interior courtyard, and we had to keep the curtains drawn for privacy so was limited in natural light. Wifi access was excellent, and don't get your laundry done at the hotel, there is a place just across the street that does it for 25 thb per kg. Same for massages, much more expensive at the hotel, there is a few spas just across the street, AloeVera spa to name one that are much cheaper.

Every day after house-keeping came through, the room smelled wonderfully like lemongrass, but once the tea light went out, there was a slight smell of mildew in the washroom. A tea light was re-lit during turndown service at night under the fragrance warmer, but the mildew smell came back once the candle went out. It was within walking distance into town, but wish we had had an opportunity to enjoy the beach during daylight hours.

We ate several times at Olivio and if you're looking for more inexpensive options to the Italian food, they do have a local Thai food menu, which we sometimes had to ask for instead of automatically being given one. Food quality was excellent and delicious. Drinks were much more affordable during their happy hours.

Overall positive experience, the hotel is a little older, so we might try to stay at a newer place next time. Offered good overall value for what we paid.

Room Tip: I seemed to get a better rate through a third party website, but once the booking was made, and emai...

“Great Holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

We arrived in Koh Samui after having a couple of days of sightseeing in Bangkok and were looking forward to relaxing. The hotel is not far from the airport and at the end of Chaweng Beach which is good as we weren't looking for a hectic area but we could walk to it if we wanted to, which we quite often did at night. We used to either walk to down the beach to the main town area, sometimes more difficult at night if the tide was in!! We therefore used to walk to the top of the road and flag down a Song Tao which would drop us off wherever we wanted for 100 baht.

The good in the restaurant was excellent, just a shame that more people don't use it in the evening as on both of the nights that we ate in Olivios we were the only two there.

Had a very good massage, manicure and pedicure at Another D's Spa in the centre the manicure and pedicure were fantastic.

The place is so relaxing I have never relaxed on holiday as much as I did here.
