Stayed last week with friends in two rooms, one above the other in the Eastern side of the building, facing the car park. We only stayed one night as our itinerary meant we were moving from town to town, but would have stayed longer to explore the area more thoroughly.
The rooms we had were simple but nice, and had air conditioning which was great - split-system with the motor away from the room so the noise isn't bad. These rooms don't open up on to the dining area so we didn't have problems with people/dining noise as some others did, although we saw those bedrooms from the dining area and counted ourselves lucky we weren't in those! So, maybe we got lucky ... or maybe it was booked through the Chateaux Hotels website? I don't know. We paid around 120 Euros per night I think - or slightly less for the rooms.
We found the hostess to be very nice once you got past what some may describe as "typical French" - somewhat brusque with a characteristic "attitude" - and in general had a good experience being hosted by her and her husband, who is the chef. For example, we ordered a bottle of champagne but it wasn't as cold as she wanted to serve it so she gave all 4 of us a free glass of champagne each, of another kind, until ours would be cold enough. Can't complain about that!
We paid for the dinner which was 25 Euros for a set menu, including buffet entree, main, dessert, and cheese platter - we were very satisfied, although it pays to give advance notice if you don't eat beef or pork, two staples of the South of France.
We didn't use the pool although we wanted to, due to time constraints, but did go for a lovely jog in the early morning before the temperature became too warm, through the charming countryside. Really well worth it!
Free WiFi was also handy for those of us not used to being unplugged - rare in the South of France at B&Bs!
