“Home away from Home”

This Hotel is worth the 10 min taxi ride from the airport as my wife and I couldnt have been more pleased with our stay. The Hotel looks small from the outside but is actually quite spacious once inside. The rooms were clean, well furnished with wonderful antique furniture, with very warm and comfortable beds. The full English Breakfast was worth every bite and prepared within minutes of getting up and about. The back garden area was perfect for a cup of morning pressed coffee. The owners were wonderful people who made every effort to see to our needs, going out of their way for us on separate occasions. They are people worthy of lasting friendship in our honest opinion. The location was half-a-cigarettes' walk away from Feltham Train Station, which put us only 30 mins away from anywhere we wanted to be in London (via Waterloo Station and the London Tubes) which was perfect since we didnt have a car. Shopping, grocery, restaurants and pubs were only one block away putting all our needs at our fingertips. We will stay here upon our next visit to London and would recommend anyone else to do the same!

Room Tip: Honeymoon Room had the most comfortable 4-poster bed that is the cure for any amount of jetlag!

“Heaven after a big trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

I stayed here for one night after a 24 day bus trip around Europe sharing with others in hostels.

The B and B was not much more expensive than what a shared room in a Youth hostel in London was going to cost so i booked here. I wanted some peace and quiet, a good nights sleep and a room to myself before a big international flight home to New Zealand.

Im so glad i stayed here on the advice of a friend who had booked to stay here as it was close to Heathrow.

When we arrived we were greeted with a very warm welcome. We inquired about the area and what there was in way of places to eat. Just down the road was a great English bar/pub where we got a very cheap yummy dinner and drinks.

My room was lovely and I had the best night's sleep as it was so quite there. I did not hear anyone even though the place was fully booked.

Breakfast in the morning we ordered and paid for a full breakfast as wanted to have something good to eat before the big flight. It was a very yummy breakfast which set us on our way.

When it came time to check out we caught the bus which was just down the road a little bit and headed to heathrow.

I would stay here again.

Room Tip: I had the Moody room

“Simple, convenient and excellent at a great price!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

We stayed here while passing through London as a family and the accommodations were excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to just about anywhere, and the price was fair.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice. We stayed in the family room upstairs and it was perfect.

“Spot on.”

A good quality, friendly and laid back place in an area of London in which such attributes seem quite hard to come by.

“Mice in the room”

The location is not quite as described. Parking is a real problem. The welcome was very nice. I was woken in the middle of the night to the sound of mice rustling around in my room. I booked for 4nights but moved out after just 1 night.

I have owned and run The Ambassador for over 5 years and we have never in all the time I have been here had any sign of mice anywhere in the Hotel. The guest left before breakfast and it is only at lunchtime when we eventually went to the room and found a note from him. I immediately called rentokil and they came out within several hours and confirmed that there is absolutely no sign of any rodent whatsoever and furthermore that it was not possible for one to be present in the area he indicated unless it was a tenth of an inch tall. This was confirmed for all areas of the Hotel. I believe the guest may have heard some noises as the wall alongside the room is where the chimney runs as this is a victorian property and you could possibly hear a bird or something similar should it get stuck in the chimney or be on the top of the Hotel on the chimney.
