“Would stay here again!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

We were moved to this hotel upon arrival as the hotel we had booked was full. I actually think we ended up better off!
I would definitely stay here again, and believe me, I have high standards. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite and helpful, and there was always someone on hand should you need anything. Our room was not huge, but us four girls managed to get ready for nights out easily without constantly tripping over one another. It was clean, and cleaned daily, with fresh towels also provided every day. The shower was lovely! We had a lovely view overlooking the beach, but we would have been quite happy to have overlooked the pool as well.
The pool area was great! A lovely sun terrace, which at the time we stayed (11th - 16th August 2011) had sunshine from around 8am til 7pm. This was also kept clean, and the tiles were non-slip - very important when clambering in and out of the pool. There was also a smaller paddling pool for children.
I would not recommend this hotel for people who expect luxury etc... but if you want to stay somewhere that is friendly, welcoming, clean and comfortable, in a good location, then you will have a lovely stay. Ignore the people making this place out to be the hotel from hell - it really isn't!

“DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2011

When me and my boyfriend (we're 19 and 20) read the reviews to this dump we actually thought people were being over critical and decided to try it anyway seeing as we had already booked by the travel agents. When we arrived I got very upset when we walked in to our room, for the fact that it smelled like a corpse had been lying in it for god knows how long! There was a sofa thing in the room and every cushion had massive stains on it. Floor had not been mopped by the looks of it and over all the place was dirty. Bathroom was absolutely rotten with stains on the bath, toilet wouldn't flush properly and made terrible noises 10mins after flushing it and taps looked like they were ready to fall off. The T.V didn't even work, which we weren't bothered about, but why have it there? There was a T.V bracket on the wall at the bottom of the beds just sticking out without the T.V on it and I walked into when I got up to go to the toilet in the night (sounds petty but it's a bloody hazard) and the walls were covered in stains etc. Maids came in twice during the stay (1 week) and replaced toilet roll, hung up dirty towels and made dirty beds. Not ONCE did we get clean sheets or towels and not once did they give the place a mop or clean. Didn't have any problems with sleeping as I didn't hear much noise from other groups which I had expected. The place wasn't very friendly to be honest and didn't feel very welcome what so ever. Pool was nice but a lot of sun loungers were broken. The snacks bar etc looked dead and had one lad working all day on it and he would just sit there and play on his phone as he had nothing better to do, it wasn't exactly appealing to say the least. Hotel was in a good place though close to the SMELLY beach (full bins right next to it) to get water taxis etc and shops and bars close by. Best place to go to eat I would say is the Old Tavern (very friendly compared to other places). Over all the stay was horrible but the area was quite nice. This place needs refurbished as it was probably nice years ago, but not now! They need to take on board the reviews people are leaving and make it better cause it has a lot of potential! We are not fussy/snobby people giving a harsh review, we are simply stating the truth.

“The worst place we've ever stayed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2011

don't stay at this horrible dirty hole - you'd be better staying in a hostel!
Stayed here for two weeks and although the night staff were nice and helpful the last review about the terrible conditions was accurate. Also I notified the staff of the blood on the doors and it was never cleaned off when I was there. The fact is that it could be a nice place, perhaps with some better management and more dedication to it being clean and the grounds kept clean.
We stayed in self catering studio but we can't even boil a water for morining coffee because there was no kettle. Kitchen equipment not exist (one dirty pan and tea pot?).
The worst place for spend hollidays!!!

Dear customer,

We welcome your comments.

We would comment that if the room needed anything you just have to ask at reception and our staff will try to fix it as soon as possible.

We also want to add that these are apartments and customers must maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen.

We are very sorry that you have not enjoyed their stay.

“Don't let the reviews put you off, fine little apartments!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2011

We arrived in the middle of the night to these apartments and our transfer driver dropped us off round the corner, so it took a little while to find!

The apartments are right by the beach and close to the jetty to catch a boat across to San Antonio (2.50EUR and about 15 mins!), and in the centre of the bay between lots of shops, restaurants, bars and hotels. There's buses nearby and plenty of excursions available in the area.

We had a twin apartment, with balcony, living area, kitchenette (although no microwave as it seems others did), and bathroom. The shower was hard to control temperature-wise but perfectly strong and we never ran out of hot water. Our room was only cleaned once - a shame, as the bathroom floor was filthy, but our towels changed daily.

There is a bar on-site but I only once saw a staff member manning it. There is also a sign for 'restaurant' but I don't believe food is actually served. There is an internet kiosk in the lobby, which I used, and reception staff were OK - but their English was not fantastic. Indeed when a message was left for us, we never got it!

The pool was great - cleaned often and with a kid's area. There were plenty of sunbeds and never a shortage of inflatables. Music is not allowed to be played around the pool area and so it was nice and peaceful. I would however not recommend using the child's play area to the side of the hotel - we walked across the ground in flip flops and still got injured feet, it was dirty and not suitable for little ones - but then, this is not really a family resort.

We too didn't have air conditioning, but didn't need it - our apartment was situated in an area that didn't get sun until 4/5pm, and so we were warm but not uncomfortable.

You get what you pay for - this was only a base for us and we were more than happy soaking up the sun around the pool and tottering off to explore.

“Dont let the reviews put you off”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 July 2011

Every year I read all the reviews before booking somewhere and usually book 5 star all inclusive in Turkey. This year my friend booked to go and we decided to join them, I then went home and read the reviews and was horrified and would never have booked it in a million years. We arrived and my 15 year old daughter said "I hope this is a joke". We went to our rooms we had 3, one overlooking the pool one the sea and one partly overlooking the sea. ours was a studio with room to sleep 4, very basic but had everything we needed microwave which looked new, cooker was a bit here and there, a toaster and fridge, no hair dryer so need to take your own, plenty of sockets for plugs. Balcony was adequate with table and chairs. The room was clean when we arrived and the maids did come in daily but only did a basic clean, replaced the towels, emptied the bin etc but maybe in a self catering apartment this is normal. There is internet in the lobby. The bar was open all day every day until 6pm and a really cheap supermarket next door. The location is superb right on the beach with a jetty that the boat goes from to san antonio and runs every 20 min until midnight for 2.50 euros. There is a playground for children but no other facilities but this is not a hotel but apartments so was expected. The pool is ok not huge but plenty of sun beds and sun shines on it all day, the pool is also a music not allowed pool so very peaceful. there was a mixture of people staying while we were there, youngsters, families and couples. we had a room on each side of the apartment block but none of us were kept awake or woken up by youngsters coming home in the early hours, overall this is an excellent base and would book again if was looking for a self catering in san antonio bay. We ate out every night but the best meal we had by far is about 3 min walk from the hotel in a restaurant called RELISH it was superb and they have a daily special menu 3 courses for 11.95 euros. any questions please email will be happy to help.
