We've just returned 30 May and what an excellent week we had.
Room: we had a suite which was very spacious, air con was excellent although we did have a problem on the first day but the maintenace team were quick to fix it. There was a lovely basket of fruit and bottle of wine in the room when we arrived. The safe in the room was free as we were in a suite. All suites in the hotel have sea views, and it was beautiful first thing in the morning with the sun coming up. There was a TV in the bedroom and the lounge. You can get 4 channels, BBC1, BBC2, ITV1 & Channel4 - press digital button for BBC1&2 and analogue button for ITV1 & Channel 4. Pressure on the shower could have been better, clean towels every day.
Restaurant: food is excellent, plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch & dinner. Waiting staff work very hard.
Pool: yes there are some crowded areas around the pool, but there are areas where you can spread out. The Thomson rep "Ben" patrols the pool area before 10am and removes towels/bags etc from unoccupied beds - quite right I think, there really isn't any need to reserve sunbeds. The waiter service at the pool is outstanding - they come to you! One downside to the pool area is that you can't get a snack at the pool bar at lunchtime on the all inclusive, you have to go to the restaurant - You have to upgrade to AI Deluxe to get this and we didn't think it was worth it.
Entertainment: there is entertainment throughout the day around the pool courtesy of Adam and Selina - they are the best, as has been said in previous reviews. Adam definitely makes this hotel worth a visit, he is so funny, and they both work tirelessly throughout the day and in the evening.
The entertainment in the evening was sometimes excellent and sometimes bad. The Divas who were on on our last night were fantastic, however the Elivis impersonator was really bad!
The resident band - the guy was an ok singer but didn't think much of the female singer.
It was nice to see the waiters and waiteresses doing their dance at the end of the evening and getting some much deserved applause from the audience - my husband really enjoyed Zayada dancing!!
The Beach: there is a courtesy bus from the hotel a few times a day and I would advise using it as it is ok to walk down, however it is a long steep climb back - especially in the heat. There are a couple of restaurants on the beach, we had a very nice Paella in Copas. The beach is a beautiful horseshoe shape and the water is very clear, but a bit cold.
Area: there isn't a lot around the hotel, so if you like nightlife then this is not the place for you. We took the minitrain to Macaret as recommended by the Rep, the place was deserted! There was two restaurants and a scruffy looking bar. We ate in Biosphere as recommended - it was mediocre at best, we wished we had stayed in the hotel and saved the money.
We will go back to Menorca, possibly to this hotel, but would like to try a different resort
All inclusive really worth it here
