The front desk personnel was very nice , but the new owner's should be ashamed of them selves asking high prices for run down dirty room's and dirty towel and after one night in their I had red bite mark's that were so itchy I was so distgusted I left there feelling like I had bug's crawling on me . After learning that Vinder and Ranji Singh are the new owner's and the same people that own raccoon lodge as well as the lost harbour inn . I now know to stay away from all three dirty motel's inn Sylvan Lake .

This property is definitely not a resort of any sort. The rooms are very dirty and so are all the ammenities in it. The property is looking across the lake but again its across and NOT on the lake..... The rooms smelled and the bathroom was 1 person wide. It was extremely small...like under the staircase bathroom sorts...there was no exhaust and it was very filthy ! Definitely not recommended as a place to breathe in.....

We had two families booked from August 18 to August 20. We were travelling with two 9-year-olds and a 10 month old. My sister was travelling, 8 months pregnant, with her husband and 16 month old kid. The good points: Best location for the beach. Straight across from the lake, easy access from the hotel. Hotel is centrally located, within walking distance to restaurants and attractions. Rooms are very clean, while a little small. There is a small area with BBQ's, chairs and tables and a fire pit.

For the negatives. The walls and floors are paper thin. We had a family of 6 - 4 kids under 5. The kids were demons and the parents were asked by two different guests to keep it down in the morning and were very rude. Management didn’t seem too interested in helping. There are no bath tubs, unless you are staying in the 3 bedroom suite. Only showers - and very small showers. The biggest negative I found was the owner. His wife was very sweet but he was very rude at times, no customer service skills. Easily frustrated. While we were checking out he asked us about booking for next summer, and when we said we would call when we get home he wrote his information on a card and literally threw the card at us. Until that moment we were pretty sure that we would be back, but after seeing his complete lack of appreciation for our business I am sure we will be trying a new place.
