This is a great hotel and it is very sad that many reviews are poor. The rooms are all on one of two levels - the upper storey reached by exterior stairs and set in lovely gardens. The rooms were basic though very clean and spacious. We had a mezzanine level which sleeps two and this was great to give our teenage daughter some privacy. The pool is enormous and an attractive shape with poolside bar and loads of sun loungers and shaded areas to sit. The bar serves drinks from 9.00am - 11 pm and there is an extension to 1.00 pm for a small fee. The local spirits were all good especially the gin and the cocktails were very popular. Drinks were served in plastic throw away glasses and there was plenty of ice. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, squash, cake and sandwiches were available all day. The restaurant was great with loads of seating - inside was air conditioned and there were outside options under cover, overlooking the pool. The range of food was extensive and there was something new each meal. Breakfast included a range of cooked food including English and Greek variations, wonderful yogurt, bowls of nutella for the children, fruit, breads, etc. Lunch and dinner included trays of salads and about 6 different hot dishes plus loads of vegetables. There was always some form of pasta and a sauce and chips for those who did not want to try local foods. Puddings were varied and always included fresh fruit, cake etc. Good wine and beer as well as soft drinks could be served or you could help yourself. There was entertainment all day with a show each evening. There was a show every night which was entertaining. The sandy beach was 10 yards over the road and sun loungers and parasols were free. What more could you want! The only potential down side was the location. 90 minute transfer from the airport and a 20 minute walk to the nearest town. However there were several tavernas within a two minute walk and taxis to the nearest town cost 6 euros.
Room Tip: Rooms with a mezzanine level have more space and provide a separate area for children.
