we visited this hotel for a weeks holiday and in the first 2 days i had over 100 mosquito bites the hotel is surrounded by marsh lands and is rife with mozzys the staff was misserable and complained of being over worked the old women on the reception tryd to charge us for a new key fob when it was aparant it had been glued together befor it was given to us the food was good maybe a little repeatative but nice the spar bath was broken and was never looked at even tho we reported it several times there is nothing around the hotel and the nearest town is about a 40 min walk so car hire is a must would not go back here

“We'd go there again!”

After reading a few dodgy reviews of this place that were posted after we booked we were a little bit worried. But alas is was worry over nothing, because this holiday was absolutely perfect, and the hotel brilliant! The rooms were large and.clean, with the maiden visiting every day. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful, and the entertainment crew did a great job of getting everyone involved. The pool was certainly not dirty, as we had read on here, and we saw it cleaned at least once a day. Yes, the hotel is a 20 minute walk and (for us) a 50 minute drive from the airport, but its not difficult for someone to find this out before they leave, and it'd exactly what we wanted. There was a wide range of nice food that I really enjoy but which picky eaters might have found repetitive. all in app, this hotel really made our holiday, and we would definitely go back again.

“Brilliant Hotel”

This is a great hotel and it is very sad that many reviews are poor. The rooms are all on one of two levels - the upper storey reached by exterior stairs and set in lovely gardens. The rooms were basic though very clean and spacious. We had a mezzanine level which sleeps two and this was great to give our teenage daughter some privacy. The pool is enormous and an attractive shape with poolside bar and loads of sun loungers and shaded areas to sit. The bar serves drinks from 9.00am - 11 pm and there is an extension to 1.00 pm for a small fee. The local spirits were all good especially the gin and the cocktails were very popular. Drinks were served in plastic throw away glasses and there was plenty of ice. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, squash, cake and sandwiches were available all day. The restaurant was great with loads of seating - inside was air conditioned and there were outside options under cover, overlooking the pool. The range of food was extensive and there was something new each meal. Breakfast included a range of cooked food including English and Greek variations, wonderful yogurt, bowls of nutella for the children, fruit, breads, etc. Lunch and dinner included trays of salads and about 6 different hot dishes plus loads of vegetables. There was always some form of pasta and a sauce and chips for those who did not want to try local foods. Puddings were varied and always included fresh fruit, cake etc. Good wine and beer as well as soft drinks could be served or you could help yourself. There was entertainment all day with a show each evening. There was a show every night which was entertaining. The sandy beach was 10 yards over the road and sun loungers and parasols were free. What more could you want! The only potential down side was the location. 90 minute transfer from the airport and a 20 minute walk to the nearest town. However there were several tavernas within a two minute walk and taxis to the nearest town cost 6 euros.

Room Tip: Rooms with a mezzanine level have more space and provide a separate area for children. Try walking...

“GREAT PEOPLE SHAME ABOUT FOOD”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

Transfer to hotel was around 2 hours, bit scary in parts the buses manouver into areas that our coach drivers wouldn't go. The Staff on Reception were friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had maid service every day!! The restaurant was clean. Only downside on the restaurant was the food....ALWAYS cold even if we got in just as the doors opened. The food was very repetative same thing every day. The waiters in the Restaurant were fantastic they couldnt do enough for us and always smiling. The Pool Bar was where we went for hot coffee the main bar's was always lukewarm. The staff there so friendly and told us some great places to go, nothing was too much for them. The hotel itself was away from everything it took us 1.5hours to walk there via the pebble beach, and 35 minutes via the road. Taxi took 2mins and cost 6 euros. This took us straight into Acharavi which is just a little village. They could do with a shuttle bus even if they charged couple euros. There was a couple of Taverna,s near the hotel that looked really good. The beach was just across the road from the hotel with plenty of sunbeds, the beach was a pebble one. The staff have been working from July for nothing they keep getting told wages are coming, I hope by the time they finish up (2 weeks) they get paid they deserve every penny, they are all extremely hard working and very friendly. The entertainment team was basic but very funny, the Lord of the Dance was very good. We do recommend going out and about and seeing Corfu its a lovely Island. Corfu Town is fasinating. We hired bikes for the day this was a good way of getting around.
Overall the hotel was clean tidy, Staff... Very friendly & hard working. Location.. Out on the sticks. Food .....Cold. We wouldn't recommend this for families with teenagers. Oh and the wee black dog had 5 pups while we were there, and are being very well looked after.

“lovely time”

I must admit that after reading certain reviews i was a little apprehensive, but it was only for a week last minute for a bit of rest and relaxation,we were more than surprised, the hotel its self was of a very high standard set in the most beautiful gardens. The rooms although basic were very comfy and spotlessly clean, the maid came every morning, the sheets were crisp and the towels large and fluffy,The restaurant was immaculate and food was excellent far too much choice, the staff were very friendly and very well trained in the time we where there we never saw or heard of anyone making any complaints, there were families there with small children who were having a great time, all age groups are well provided for.All the public areas such as pool.pool bar.toilets etc were of the same high standard and theres a short walk across the road to the beach which is lovely and safe with beautiful clear water,a short 15 minute walk up the beach takes you into town which has lovely shops bars supermarket doctors etc.You may read this thinking i am easily pleased but i can assure you that the service at one of New Yorks most well know hotels was not a patch on it,the only piece of advise i would give is request an upstairs room there are only 2 levels but the furniture scrapes on the floor and the noise is awful so book with confidence you'll have a great time we certainly did

Room Tip: ask for an upstairs room.they also smoking and non smoking rooms
