Functional is the word for this hotel. Staff are not so friendly. Didnt get a positive feel from this place. Rooms are clean and fine for a comfortable stay in a pretty dingy town! Excursions to tad lo village on motorbike highly recommended, and tree top explorer 1 night with green discovery highly recommended! Pakse hotel was the in between stop off for these main events for us in Pakse and did the job.

The hotel is surely nice: it has a nice atmosphere, decent rooms (the cheapest costs around 20 USD) and for this price you get a decent room, but a little dark, with fridge and an old TV. The restaurant on the top floor is beautiful: from there you can see the city. Unfortunately the food isn't great (lasagne and coffee cold, milk made with water and a creamer.... A pity, really, especially when we talk about French cuisine). The breakfast, on the other side, is not bad at all. I would suggest that if you stay here and you go to eat in the romantic restaurants on the river: you'll spend half the price and you'll get delicious food. The staff is nice

Only stayed one night at the end of a 17 day Laos tour. Older hotel with character and a lift! Room was a good size with fridge and TV. Had an excellent group dinner in the roof top garden restaurant. The food, which is a french / asian mix, was excellent. My wife had cucumber stuffed with mashed sweet potato with a yellow curry sauce. Good breakfast. A comfortable stay. Helpfull staff.

This hotel must have the friendliest, most helpful staff in Laos. Nothing is too much trouble and every request is met with a smile. Immaculate rooms with crisp white linen, piping hot water and great aircon. The awesome buffet breakfast included in the price makes this the best value in town. Once u have checked in u dont have to venture too far for dinner as the rooftop terrace restaurant is ideal for sundowners followed by a scrumptious dinner prepared by the uber enthusiastic French chef, who personally ensures that every diner enjoys their choice from the Laos, Thai, Western and fusion menu. Further nice touches are the free internet and swopping library which has a decent selection of books for guests.
