“OH.MY.WORD”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

This is definitely one of THE best meals I've ever had. Not just Indian meal, but food in general. Was SO SO good and the owner and staff so friendly! Whatever you do, don't miss this place, the lovely chicken curry and the Naan!!

“Delicious food, lots of company.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

Took a lot of meals here during my brief stay In Pakse. Service was good and all our orders came promptly. Really enjoyed their naan and dahl and eggplant curry dish. Wish these Indian restaurants would quit advertising "tofu" paneer...if you don't have paneer don't try to pass off a poorer substitute.
While some of the prices seemed a bit high we were able to find plenty of good food to order from the lower end of the menu. Really wanted to try the Chicken Martaba but just couldn't bring myself to fork over US$2.50 for one dish. Maybe next time. Great place to get out of the sun midday and have a cold beer as well.

“Excellent tasty food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

We chose to visit this restaurant on the recommendation of other travellers and were not disappointed. The food was tasty, plentiful and well presented with a good range of choices on the menu. We enjoyed it so much that we returned again the next day.

“Be Warned”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

I read with interest the other reviews of this place before visiting it. I must agree that anyone who thought that good Indian food is served here knows very little about Indian food. The restaurant provides a poor example of Indian cuising at best, and the place is in serious need of a cleaning. The condiment vessels when I ate there clearly hadn't been cleaned or refilled in a long while, the table cloths were filthy, and the toilet is probably the dirtiest I have encountered in many years of traveling. Cobwebs hung in literally every corner of the toilet rrom. The Indian owner is friendly enough, but that does not make up for lack of basic cleanliness and substandard food.

“Pretty awful vegetarian food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

After reading about this place we decided to give fried rice or noodles a break and try something different. Before coming to SE Asia we had spent 3 months in India so maybe our expectations were too high... We tried 2 vegetarian dishes, the Aloo Palak and Dhal Fry. It didnt taste anything like Indian, really really bland. But it is probably difficult to get the Indian ingredients here. The mango lassi did not have any real mango in it, but some weird fruit syrup.
The place seemed pretty popular , maybe we just didnt know what to order, perhaps the chicken dishes are really good.
Staff seemed friendly.
