La Loma Cabins are located on a hill, high above the town of La Cumbre. This is an outstanding place to stay due to the quality of the facilities, stunning view, and very friendly hosts. Please note that the staff only speaks Spanish, and communicates over the Internet in very limited/no English.

The cabins are actually like small duplex type apartments. We rented a standard type cabin, which came with two beds, bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, small sitting area, telephone, and a small deck with a nice view of the nearby hills. The cabin was fairly new and in very good condition. There were a few cleaning issues when we checked in, and the staff cheerfully took care of them immediately. A covered parking area is also provided near the rooms.

The cabin fee also includes breakfast, which is very minimal and consists of a basket of breads with jam, and tea or coffee. Our rate was AR $180 per night. We purchased some food in town to supplement our breakfast and there were no comments or issues about this.

As far as the grounds, there is a small swimming pool with a sunning and lounging area, a dining room, and a sun deck attached to the dining area. The dining room and deck areas have awesome views of the beautiful Sierra Chica mountains nearby and makes for a very tranquil environment. The grounds are very clean and well cared for.

The facility is a little difficult to find from downtown LaCumbre, but there were signs once we got close driving from town (about 5 minutes on dirt roads). The driveway to the parking area is very steep on a rock and concrete base and it is critical to drive very slowly at a cross angle to prevent damage to low clearance vehicles.

The owners of this facility were great people and met all our needs. They are currently building more cabins to expand capacity.
