Absolutely stunning views from the bedroom window and a host who clearly does genuinely love running his beautiful B and B and meeting new people but ,on the whole, there were too many niggly things that need sorting out. I am not a particularly fussy traveller but it was february and a bit cold and i would have appreciated a hairdrier. We stayed two nights but the bedroom and bathroom were never cleaned - i think i MAY have read somewhere on the website that rooms are cleaned every two days and, to be honest, that would normally be more than enough considering how much mess you actually make, but water escaped from the shower screen onto the bathroom floor and so half of our towels were used to mop up the puddles ; finding a new set all clean and fluffy at the end of our second day would have been nice. pillows were Incredibly thin. the bedroom was directly underneath the owners' appartment and as they seem to have kept the original stone flooring upstairs we could hear every footstep anybody made ALL THE TIME. I live in italy and so am used to living with noise from neighbours but this wasn't exactly what i wanted in the middle of the tuscan countryside and I expect that people used to detached housing would find it unbearable. the road up to the house is very rough in places (even putting down some planks of wood could sort out the muddiest areas). As i said before, we were made to feel very very welcome so i don't want this review to put readers off (though i know it would do me). Basically, I think it is advice I am writing for the owners more than potential visitors. If they were to sort out the points mentioned above then yes I would be the first to tell people to go there but, as things stand, I cannot help thinking that for what you pay you could easily find something better up the road (the following night we stayed in the chianti region, paid 20 euro less and got a MUCH better deal).
