Our holiday was booked at the last minute. Only after it was all done and dusted did I get around to looking it up and reading the reviews. Some weren't particularly complimentary and I half expected it to be like Fawlty towers but it was absolutely excellent, clean and very friendly in a very quiet location. We did not experience any construction noise, our appartment was well equiped, it even had pastry forks!
Shower, kettle all fine despite what we were led to believe from some of thge reviews. The pool was really good, in fact we never bothered to go to the beach even though it was five minutes away.
All the staff were very friendly, and keen to help in any way we needed. Considering it was almost the end of the season, the only person who seemed less than enthusiastic was our courier.
I wasn't too struck with the endless football every night in the bar but that's just me!
I managed to persuade Alex, the manager that Greek music was easier on the ear, I can listen to pop music at home. He indulged me most of the time!
We had a fantastic two weeks, we came home thoroughly rested.
Eating out in Cyprus is expensive but the food at the hotel is as good as anywhere and possibly cheaper.
Look, it's not the Hilton, maybe the decor is a little old-fashioned but check the price, it's a two star hotel, if you want lavish drapes and plush furniture then you'll need to pay up.
Even then, the staff wouldn't be as good as at the Hotel Issac.
