“Very relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

Our holiday was booked at the last minute. Only after it was all done and dusted did I get around to looking it up and reading the reviews. Some weren't particularly complimentary and I half expected it to be like Fawlty towers but it was absolutely excellent, clean and very friendly in a very quiet location. We did not experience any construction noise, our appartment was well equiped, it even had pastry forks!
Shower, kettle all fine despite what we were led to believe from some of thge reviews. The pool was really good, in fact we never bothered to go to the beach even though it was five minutes away.
All the staff were very friendly, and keen to help in any way we needed. Considering it was almost the end of the season, the only person who seemed less than enthusiastic was our courier.
I wasn't too struck with the endless football every night in the bar but that's just me!
I managed to persuade Alex, the manager that Greek music was easier on the ear, I can listen to pop music at home. He indulged me most of the time!
We had a fantastic two weeks, we came home thoroughly rested.
Eating out in Cyprus is expensive but the food at the hotel is as good as anywhere and possibly cheaper.
Look, it's not the Hilton, maybe the decor is a little old-fashioned but check the price, it's a two star hotel, if you want lavish drapes and plush furniture then you'll need to pay up.
Even then, the staff wouldn't be as good as at the Hotel Issac.

“Great Cheap Hotel”

Have just returned from a 10 day holiday to Isaac hotel and have no complaints!! Great hotel for the price you pay staff are freindly and helpful, food was lovely and not to expensive either! In a great location just up the road from Pernera! Pool is a nice size but just square with a square baby pool! Not very busy so always lots of sun loungers round the pool!

Only downside is the Aircon is only in the bedroom and you have to pay extra for it! Other then that great holiday!

“Little disappointing / basic”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2009

We arrived at the Isaac late at night, the Receptionist was reasonably helpful (not the most enthusiastic) he informed us the lift for the guests wasn’t working so we used the staff lift as our room was on the 4th floor. First impressions of the apartment when opening the door was how hot and stuffy it was – we knew air con was available so that wasn’t a worry at the time. The bedroom was a decent size but lacked storage space the same can be said for the whole apartment. The living area was average size, the kitchen area very small and not well equipt even for basic use. The balcony was very small, at best only a couple of chairs could be placed here and if sitting down you could not see above the balcony wall (when standing you had a sea view).
We left our unpacked luggage and went to reception to ask for the remote for air conditioning handset and if we could have some extra pillows as only one each was supplied. The bathroom was very cramped and hot, the extractor was on but didn’t seem to be doing its job. Our shower came off the wall during first time of use and the water was either hot or cold. We asked for this to be repaired and this was done although on the next day. The air con unit although working up to a point never cooled the apartment down and this made our stay particularly uncomfortable as you need to cool down at some stage in the day and this didn’t happen, it was even more difficult to sleep in such heat!
On the plus side, the Isaac has a nice relaxed feel to it. Bar staff are friendly and helpful, the food was of a good standard and average price for the area. We always managed to find a sun bed regardless of time and the general atmosphere around the pool was relaxed and comfortable.
The Issac is in an excellent location as far as beaches are concerned only a few mins to one of the many that are close by. There are restaurants, shops and hotel bars all close by.
This was our first trip to Cyprus and we did find the Protaras / Pernera area a bit too purpose built and lacking tradition for our liking (although kids loved it!). Saying that a trip to the mountains and Farmagusta were well worth a visit, also the beaches / sea were beautiful. Although we knew Cyprus was more expensive than most European holiday destinations we were still surprised at how costly everything was.

“Good Clean place to stay and excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2009

We stayed here for 2 weeks in August with our 4 year old daughter and had a great time. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and the food in the hotel bar was great so well done to the poor chef that seemed to be in the kitchen by himself all the time 24/7.
The beach is a minute walk at the end of the street but it is nice just to sit by the pool and relax. Apartments were spacious and balconys great but I would recommend a pool view if you want the heat and the sun in the morning or the inland view if you prefer to sit out in the afternoon or evening as the sun is at the back after about 5pm.
I woud recommend, without a doubt "Mojitos" bar and grill around the corner it is the best restaurant in the area. For good pub home cooked food then Knights Bar is also very popular further into the town. You can get a service but to protarus and the napa for a couple of euros which is recommended especially NISSI beach or Konnos bay.
Overall good clean friendly place to stay with the family.
