Just got back from a week in these apartments. After my initial worries and emailing the hotel to request a high floor, we arrived to be given room 415 on the top floor! Room was lovely, Very modern, clean and with a fully equipped kitchen. View over the neighbouring Tsokkos Beach hotel, which gave us free entertainment from the very funny reps and some good tunes too! Maid came in 5 out of 7 days and we got clean towels and bedding. The staff were lovely and the manager greeted me by name one day and asked if everything was ok. Pools were great, one larger one and a smaller one which was a bit quieter with jacuzzi between 12 and 2. The apartments are located right next to the beach and a 2 min walk to the main strip, so ideally located for a good sleep. Eating out was very reasonable. Meals cost between 8.50 euros to 17.50 euros for 2 or 3 courses. We just looked around, you will be spoilt for choice. Drinks were also good, just look at the offers in the bars. Paid from 2.00 euros to 3.50 euros for spirits. Boat trips leave from the jetty near the apartments, we did the coca cola trip which was 10.00 euros each and lasted about 2 and a half hours, went to Famugusta and Cape Greco for a swim. We were lucky enough to see 2 weddings which was lovely and the cpatain played the wedding march to the couples from the boat. All in all a fab holiday, my hubby has never been to Cyprus before and said he never wants to go back to Spain now, he is converted to the lovely way of life and the friendly people. Fab resort, very safe and lots of things to do if you want it. Even gara rufa fish pedicures if you want one lol...Thank you to all the staff at the Golden Star - they were all fab. Shame its not being offered by Thomas Cook next year as we wanted to go back. Only negative was TC losing my case on my return to Newcastle. It is is Manchester allegedly..we will see if it arrives tomorrow as promised by courier and if it still has all its contents!.

Just returned from a week self catering at the golden star hotel, Very impressed with the clean room, all the kitchen utilities you need. Free air con in the bedroom. Great location beach is a minutes walk, supermarket is on the door step. Towels and bed sheets changed daily. Bathroom could have been better as it was more like a wet room, however it would not stop me from staying there again.

Was in golden star apts sept 2011 with my partner & daughter. We all had such a good time. Right on beach, 2 mins walk to main strip. 2 bars across the road. Air conditioning in bedroom at no extra charge, a/c available in living room at €5.50 per day but we didn't need it. Maid service everyday. Anyone who complains about these apts shud just stay home because they obviously are lookn 5star accomm at 3.5 star prices but are to tight to pay for it. I have been on alot of holidays within Cyprus, Greece, Spain & canary islands & these were by far the best apts iv stayed in.

After paying a lot of money to go all inclusive we were all very disappointed with the lack of entertainment at night it was a joke and would be funny if you hadnt paid all that money and then had to go out and spend more ,then you had to share the pool with everyone that live there, they emptied the pool because they just went mad jumping in not looking to see if anyone was in the way.The bar closing at eleven every night was a joke you had to go to bed or spend more money going out will not be going back
