We had quite a rude welcome that took over an hour to sort out but it turned out it was purely due to miscommunication about the air on between a third party website and LoveHolidays (LoveHolidays stating on their site the AirCon is free from mid July which when we got there we were informed was actually €7 a night, but LoveHolidays are in the process of reimbursing us for that) After that whole ordeal the staff were very welcoming and accommodating to my partner’s disability, offering us a bigger room on a lower floor as LoveHolidays also hadn’t communicated that we would need this as there’s no lift and it is quite steppy. The rooms themselves are dated and the finish not great but nice and there are plenty of outlets. The double beds are two singles pushed together and are quite hard but it wasn’t too bad. Our room had a huge balcony with two chairs and a small table that overlooked a small allotment and the sea in the distance. On the allotment there was a very noisy cockerel but you get used to him. There was also a local cat that visited us! The outside was quite noisy from bugs and as it has a flight path overhead you can hear the planes but they’re not at all disruptive. It’s actually quite nice to get such a clear view of a plane so up close. As our room was self catered the kitchen came with a small fridge and freezer, two hobs, pans, cutlery, cups, mugs and plates along with a sink, bin, draining board and ashtray. The bathroom was a little odd as the shower has a really strange curtain that’s near impossible to use without soaking the room and a shower head holder that has never even nearly fitted the shower head but also not awful when you just accept the floor will be wet. You can’t flush the toilet roll here which could be a big readjustment for little ones but a bin is provided. There’s also a very small shower gel and shampoo provided. Also a big tip is that the water here is NOT drinking water! Also the Wi-fi only worked in the reception. Outside there is a large grassy volleyball court and a pool table along with a reasonably priced outdoor bar and tables. There are plenty of sun umbrellas and deck chairs too. The pool has a kiddie area half a metre deep which is barred off but attached to the main shallow end of the pool so it really is quite safe. The main pool is large and goes from a metre deep to 1.5 and is great (if not a little cold at first!). There is no lifeguard however and wasn’t cleaned at all in our week stay (very green around the sides and bigs floating in but smells very chlorined). The stairs are all marble and have a high quality feel to them. Outside there are two supermarkets less then ten minutes away. MyMarket sells 6x1.5 litre waters for only €1.75 and plenty of cafes and bakeries nearby. There was plenty of local bus stops too where you can go into the old town for just €2.50 each way or you can get an unlimited day pass for €6. The nearby beach is an easy flat walk less than 10 minutes away with plenty of sun beds and clear blue sea

Came to rhodes for the weekend flew out 16-18 paid £81 room only for 2 nights July got a taxi from the airport which cost €17 literally I wouldn’t even bother getting to hotel to arrange transport (u can get a bus from the airport u just need to ask for kremasti and the bus literally stops right outside the hotel make sure u keep an eye on the screen it say maritime which is really helpful) arrived at the hotel had to fill own forms in receptionist speaks really good English u have to pay extra for air con €7 per day the air con was really good and if u wanted breakfast it’s an additional €6 or €7 each can’t remember I paid for the breakfast for the one day to c what it’s like (I’ll get to that in a min) we had room 409 all rooms come with balcony the room is a studio with a double bed which was comfortable u had a little kitchen with a kettle and electric hob fridge which is always handy there was a telly but wasn’t in the room we did try to turn it on but didn’t work (not really bothered to b honest) the bathroom I literally had to LOL when I saw the shower it was terrible the shower curtain didn’t go all the way round and the shower well!! Wasn’t great however it was constant hot water!!! The sink is huge!!! If ur toilet paper roll is by the wall by the shower move it as it will get wet and pop the shower curtain inside the tray otherwise the bathroom will flood other than that!! It was fine!!! The air con works which is brilliant although I got cold at night (if ur from the uk bring a blanket with u) and it’s only got a sheet on the bed!! The pool was lovely small but enough plenty of sun loungers however Mayb more umbrellas r needed there is a pool bar aswell prices for drinks didn’t pay more than €5 for 2 soft drinks the breakfast is served at the pool bar which literally was so minimal didn’t really think much of the breakfast but the staff here r so helpful The hotel is right on the flight path to the airport everyone has said in their reviews it’s noisy especially at night as that’s when most flights arrive so for me I’m happy as I love my planes and aviation so don’t moan that the hotel is noisy because every review states this so if u book it then moan that’s ur issue We went the rhodes town and old town caught the bus the bus stop is opposite the hotel on the other side rhodes is the last bus stop cost €2.50 each literally 30 min bus ride at the hotel they have all the bus time table and easy to work out the bus isn’t on time but that the Greeks for u just wait and it does turn up!!! Coming bck just get to the main bus stop where the bus drops u off get the number 12 to kremasti and look on the screen when they say next stop u need to look out for maritime and the bus stops right outside the hotel!!! Paid €2.30 each to come bck there is a ticket office where u get ur ticket The beach at kremasti is a pebbled beach however once ur in the sea it’s sand at the bottom!! There’s kite surfing as well on the beach theres a lovely warm breeze which is nice and helps break up the heat also there is a lovely sports bar called Billy’s which is so reasonably priced we ate there for dinner twice lovely ppl and not far from hotel lots of cats so if ur a cat person u will b happy overall the hotel and kremasti was beautiful and in the right location for what we needed I would recommend this hotel and place literally if ur just having a few days away Mayb look elsewhere if it’s for more than a week but I would def come bck our flight wasnt until the evening which made a pain as they wanted to charge us an extra €40 to keep the room till 4pm thought it was a bit extreme price check out is at 11am which is a bit early and check in is at 3pm check out would have been better at 12 For the price I paid I have no complaints Also there is a hand sanitiser dispenser in the room there is no lift so not good for wheel chair users especially if ur not on the ground floor and ppl with buggies

The worst hotel I had ever been. Never never never go here. 1) Right next to the airport, you can hear a huge noise when planes take off and land. They fly every 5 minutes, so it is impossible to fall asleep or sleep at night. 2) The staff is low-level, rude, completely disrespecting the customer. 3) Very bad sound insulation, old, unmaintained furniture, lots of mosquitoes and they bite really painful. In the rooms no insects net, so there are many of them. 4) Paid air conditioner (€7). Without it, you will not be able to sleep from the heat. But even though you'll have air conditioning, you still won't be able to sleep because of the airplane noise. 5) There are cockroaches.

Stayed here for 10 nights in August, the hotel is situated on a very busy road, we had a room overlooking the gardens so this didn't bother us. The room was more than large enough to accommodate 4 of us, the only negative being there was little cooking utensils and pans making it difficult to cook for yourself. The hotel was clean and the pool area amazing never had the usual sun bed dilemma with plenty available and he evening pool bar lady was superb and very welcoming. The hotel is within walking distance of the beautiful nearby beach and a very short distance from the airport. Would stay again.

Well what can I say, just returned from an amazing 2 weeks at the Maritime Hotel. Before I get into the review, do not read anything older than 2 years on this review site, the hotel was taken over by new owners and has made a lot of changes and improvements. So firstly, we were welcomed with a friendly and courteous individual at the reception (later found out this was the owner), it was the early hours of the morning and check in was fast and efficient. Quickly shown the way to our room. Initial impression was wow look at the space, slightly dated but clean. Then to the Pool Bar, the Hostess (Sula) was on hand (after 2am) to serve us Drinks which was very refreshing, asked if we would like some food, it was nice easy pizza or a sandwich, nothing fancy but the pizza was just what I needed, so was the Mythos.... Without overstaying our welcome back up to the room. The pool looked so inviting and was clean with plenty of sun loungers. The room, as I said it was very spacious, the bathroom clean a bit small but hey all the amenities were there shower, toilet and washing basin. What more do you want... The balcony was very ample, with a table and chairs (more available if asked for). There was a Flatscreen TV on the wall but we never even switched it on!! We were self catering, but really had no intention of cooking, a small electric hob unit, standard fridge freezer, couple of pots, glasses, cutlery, cups and glasses and of course a kettle!! After the first couple of days I noticed the Fridge wasn't working, reported this and it was replaced, no if's or buts not a problem. The pool area, very clean, with even the guest taking a bit of pride scooping out the odd leaf or bug that had strayed in, during the day the hostess (Michela) would be out with the fish net to collect anymore that had strayed in. Sunloungers were good quality and comfortable, towels always available, this saved your own. The pool bar area again was very clean, with food throughout the day, breakfast was served here which we had one morning, and a very reasonable choice and very "healthy portions" this was the same for the evening meals, a reasonable choice not overly extensive like the tavernas but you will not starve! and the best Chips I had throughout the whole stay. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, if they could help they would or at least point you in the right direction. The airplanes - after a day you never really noticed them, you stop talking for the 10 secs or speak up! pretty much all of the hotels in Kremasti and the next village are all on the flight path so you can't avoid them. I can not praise the staff in the Maritime enough, Micheal (Mixalis), his wife and the rest of the team really are amazing, the cleaning staff (always over looked) moved about there work efficently, cleaned the room swiftly and quickly, new sheets every two days. Toilet bin every day... essential. Missing the Maritime Hotel and everyone, see you all again...

We have recently returned from a weeks stay at The Maritime Hotel. The hotel is on the main road through Kremasti, the majority of the rooms are behind the main building so there is no problem with traffic noise. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, which meant we had a separate bedroom with a put up bed in the dining area. The rooms had basic utensils and would benefit from a little tlc. The pool area is lovely and we never had a problem getting sunbeds. It was a 10 minute stroll to the beach which had gorgeous views over to Turkey. A walk along the main road brings you to the local shops etc Kremasti is a traditional village, with lovely friendly local people. If you are in to purpose built holiday villages this might not be the place for you. We had most of our evening meals at the restaurant of the Esmerelda Hotel by their pool. Friendly staff, good quality food & excellent value for money. We would then go over the road to Thomas & Mike's bar for drinks, again very friendly atmosphere. A bus trip to Rhodes town, taking about 25 minutes and costing 2 euros 40 cents each enabled us to see this lovely place. We would recommend a walk into the old town where you will find a variety of shops & restaurants. We visited a restaurant called Buzz Grill & Cocktails, another excellent find, very friendly staff, great food & cocktails.

Sorry to Michael and staff for such a late review just been ultra Busy Stay at Maritime Apartments in June 2019 for one week. Cant speak highly enough of his little gem in Kremasti on the island of Rhodes arrived late at night was taken to our room which was just as ordered as my partner is disabled, room was on ground floor in perfect position by the bar and pool.Sula is the lady who runs the bar area in the evening and is the perfect hostess nothing is a problem to this lovely lady and she helped make our holiday. we had 2 problems with our room 1 only one pillow per person we prefer 2 problem fixed within 2 minutes pillows supplied straight away ,second problem shower head broken told Michael of the problem was fixed within 8 hours. Food drink pool and bed all fantastic. If i was going to be really picky then the only complaint was the noise from the planes flying overhead into Rhodes airport ,but after a couple of days didnt even notice them really.Really enjoyed Maritime Hotel Michael and his family and staff especially Sula cant wait to go back next year. Many thanks to all Chris and Teresa
