Had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for ll days in June. George and his staff were very congenial and attentive. The room we had with an oversized balcony overlooked the beach and pool and was always clean and airy. Daisy was an outstanding waitress and brought me cappuccino while I worked on my wireless in the lobby. The location of the hotel is excellent as there are numerous restaurants bars and a cheap boat service which takes people to other beaches for the day within walking distance from the hotel. A bus stop is also nearby to take a ride into Mykonos town for either shopping, sightseeing, dining out or nightlife. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely little hotel in such a wonderful location as Mykonos is

The hotel is a family-run business and its main advantage is that is located just by Ornos beach - a very nice and clean beach not fancy and trendy but family oriented - located just ten minutes driving from downtown Mykonos. Being so close to the beach (at leat in my eyes) seems ideal for couples with kids or for somenone who does not want to move around different beaches everyday.
The property itself - although not brand new - is very clean and quite and hotel staff is very polite. Breakfast was okay and the "dish of the day" was homemade by the very friendly family that runs the hotel.
During high-season I guess that it should be rellativelly difficult to book yourself a room since these are massivelly booked by an Italian group operator. Consequently, I believe that hotel door-prices (ie the one we paid) should be substantially higher than these offered to the toor operator and that irritates me somehow...

Nevertheless, me, my wife and my daughter we were very happy with our 1week stay in September 2008 and we will probably visit Ornos Beach Hotel again next year.

My sister and I have just returned from Mykinos... we stayed in an area called Ornos which is about ten minutes bus ride away from Mykonos town.

Mykonos town is very buzzy and busy during the day and at night, it is great but if you want the best of both worlds ( enjoy the buzz and relax in a quiete place ) then stay in Ornos area.

we stayed at the Ornos Beach Hotel which is run by a very friendy family. this hotel is amazing it has the biggest swimming pool i have seen in that area ( my sister and i checked out other hotels too but the pools were tiny ) sunbeds are free at the pool if you are staying in the hotel and it is right on the beach ! pool was very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. there is 24 hour receptionist there which made our stay very safe. food was very nice and prices were reasonable.

our stay was with breakfast included, breakfast was basic but nice and satisfying.

the room we stayed in was amazing, actually it was allot more than what we had expected, very clean ( as they are cleaned daily ) and we had an amazing seaview room with aircon and tv included in the price. the shower was very nice and the water pressure was very good.

there is also a hair and beauty salon next door we both had a spa pedicure done which i must say was the best one i have ever had, very clean and at very good price so make sure you get your nails done there !

we also went to different beached you can catch the boat for 6euros return and try other beaches out, apparantly Mykonos has 22 beaches... if you are into your clubbing try the paradise beach its mad and great fun...

all in all we had a great holiday and the best part was the room with the seaview and the weather ofcourse !

First the not so good news - the bathrooms were in need of refurbishment although were very clean; the bar area was a bit dull. Could be improved and made to feel more 'sociable' - the evening meal ranged from pretty good to pretty poor depending upon what was chosen. The bars and tavernas in the village were again ranging from ordinary to very good but some could be expensive. Drinks in most bars including the hotel were expensive. - And finally - the breeze or wind, ranged every day from breezy to very windy and at night made you feel very cold - be warned take a sweater. Now the GOOD news, the hotel was generally a delight, the location was almost perfect, right on the beach just a few minutes walk from Ornos village. The pool area being just 3 steps from the beach was idylic with breath taking views across the beach and bay. All bedrooms and public areas both inside and out were spotlessly clean. The bedrooms were pretty large with air con, fridge, TV and sea views. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was buffet style with frseh bread, fruits, cereals and yoghurts. Also there was hot scrambled eggs and bacon (as much as you wanted) with fruit juice, tea and coffee. The area of Ornos was beautifull. To sum up - a nice clean hotel, fantastic location and pool area, great Island if not a bit expensive, great beach, clear calm sea and friendly hotel staff. Would I go again? Yes if it was not so windy!
