I stayed at the Morven for 2 nights on 11/27-28 and it is an exceptionally great place. Rene and Glo are wonderful hosts and everything was excellent. The breakfast is homemade and is enough to keep you full until dinner. Glo's homemade fruit compote was to die for. I highly recommend Morven for anyone staying in Speyside.

We really enjoyed our stay with Rene & Glo! They are so helpful and knowledgeable. Plus Dufftown is a beautiful little village with a lot to offer-- there are great restaurants and events most nights of the week during summer. This is the perfect starting point for distillery visits and hiking.

A lovely room and wonderful lounge area where you could relax and watch T.V. The home is located right in the town square. Breakfast was delicious and Rene even helped us make reservations for a distillary tour. Not many restaurants in Dufftown for dinner but close enough to other towns so iy easnèt a problem.

Just a quick review to give a very well deserved recognition and big thank you to Glo&René (I apologize as well for sharing that after half a year) for contribute to make my staying in Dufftown a memorable one .
Needles to say that I deeply reiterate all the good feedback that have already been brought up here. In my opinion, the value for money is unbeatable!
Besides, I would like to highlight that the hosts are constantly trying to go the extra mile to please the residents. For instance, I went to Dufftown to visit the destiliries and, in the mean time, taking part in a beautyfull 10k race that took place in Glenlivet. I didn`t make my "homework" propperly and as I arrived to Dufftown, I sadly noticed that there were no way to go from Dufftown to Glenlivet in a public transport and, consequently, my plans about taking part in that race were going to be ruined. Luckly, as son as I let it know to René, he did not hesitate about offering me a free ride to Glenlivet during his spare time. What a great way to exceed my expectations!!
I think this small story perfectly ilustrate the great job that Glo&René are consistently doing at Morven so if your are planning to vist the heart of the Speyside, do not hesitate about staying at Morven!!
