For the first part of our honeymoon, wife and I wanted to be near Renne, but outside of the busy city so we could easily get to northbound highways to take day trips to points of interest along the cost.
Friendly staff. We arrived at the hotel on our first night very late and tired after traveling for 30 hours and hauling luggage around. Since the hotel restaurant was closed, the fellow at reception kindly raided the restaurant refridgerator for us and made us meat and salad plates (HUGE).
Decent breakfasts in the morning. I happen to be a fan of pastries, so the variety of pastries and fruit jams appealed to me. Unfortunately, my wife is allergic to wheat, however, so there was very little for her to eat for breakfast.
Hotel is very easy to find, with decent directions.
Price is reasonable - but by American standards, these are extremely small rooms. However, we found that to get an "American sized" hotel room in France (North and South), it cost two or three times more than it does in America.
Room was very cute and cozy, with a nice spacious bathroom and shower.
It was in a great location - About a 10 minute drive to the city (and thus, our train station), but easy freeway access to get to places like Cap Frehel, Mont Saint Michel, Normandy beaches, etc.
