We spent a restful week at Casa Serene and enjoyed every minute with our friends. The house is spacious and has wonderful views of the lake while relaxing on the deck, enjoying some of the excellent wines from the nearby wineries. Had the pleasure of the master bedroom with large on suite all tastefully decorated and fully appointed with everything one would want. The kitchen was a pleasure to work in and made creating a meal to enjoy with our friends a pleasure. The town itself was quiet and had a great walking trail that one could spend time chosing from many fine restaurants or just stopping for a coffee and baked good. The town also boasts a fine beach area and miles of lakefront to chose to sit on. A road trip fifteen minutes in either direction can take you to world class wineries and a few more minutes to larger centers that offer something for everyone. The only difficult thing was having to leave Casa Serene and the restful town of Peachland.

Our trip to Peachland and our stay at Casa Serene are just what we needed to revitalize ourselves from too many weeks of working way too hard. We couldn't have chosen a better place to spend our summer vacation. Our breath was taken away the moment we walked through the front door because Casa Serene has a beautiful view of the lake. Casa Serene is a great house to share with another couple as the bedrooms have 2 floors seperating them therefore giving each couple their own space. We had all the comforts of home and then some, including freshly picked peaches every morning!! Casa Serene is only a few blocks up from Beach Avenue which hosts many great restaurants, a weekly farmer's market and a lakeside path that takes you from one end of the town to the other, great for cycling, running or walking (there's a great bakery enroute as your reward!). There are at least 100 wineries within an hours' drive. We had a great time with our friends and do not hesitate to recommend Casa Serene as a great place to get rejuvinated!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Monica's lovely "Casa Serene" this August while in the Okanagan for Ironman Canada. Not only was our room lovely, spotless and roomy, the breakfasts were simply scrumptious!

Any bed and breakfast can wow you with a view, gorgeous architecture or beautiful gardens. The difference between a good B&B and a great B&B is always the host/hostess. Monica was so friendly and warm, interesting to talk to and truly made our stay a joy. She even went out of her way to prepare nutritious picnic lunches for our busy days at Ironman Canada.

If you're looking for a hotel atmosphere.....don't stay at Casa Serene. If you're looking for a home away from home, there is no better place.

After reading all the excellent reviews on tripadvisor, it was clear to us that we HAVE to stay at the Casa Serene while passing through the Okanagan Valley. However, what a disappointment! Our bathroom had dark hairs all over the place (floor, bath tub, tiles, toilet, sink). This made us a bit suspicious and looking around, you started to doubt whether the towels had been washed at all. Everything looked a bit dingy....far away from spotless. The location of the place is beautiful and I've hardly been to a place where the stars have been shining more brightly than there. Unfortunately this beautiful scenery is a bit spoilt by the highway that passes by right down by the lake. We could hear the noise of trucks all night long. The hostess, Monica, was helpful in suggesting things to do the next day. However, we found her quite eccentric and fake. The breakfast looked good with all the fresh fruits, but there were so many fruit flies in the living room, you kept wondering whether the fruits were really fresh. I think this place really has a hygenic issue. I would say that the best days of Casa Serene are over.... but I do hope that I'm wrong and that the hostess was just tired at the end of the season and will pimp up the place again next spring when she returns back to the Okanagan Valley.
