We stayed at the wonderful Villa Belvedere in September, 2011. We have stayed at many other hotels throughout the world, and the Villa Belvedere is definitely one of the nicest hotels that we have ever stayed at and is situated right on Lake Como in Argegno. Their overall service and amenities were impeccable. The owner, Jane Cappelletti and her daughter Michela, and their staff were very helpful and fulfilled all of our requests. Our room was overlooking Lake Como just above the outdoor terrace where breakfast and dinner were served. The room, as well as the rest of the hotel, was exceptionally clean and very attractive. The Villa Belvedere is extremely well situated. It is a very easy drive and only 20 minutes north of the city of Como. The ferry station is located outside the door of the hotel which makes it very convenient to get around the lake without driving. We drove to the hotel, parked our car in the hotel parking area, and used the ferry during our entire stay in order to avoid the hassle and headache of driving. The food prepared in the hotel kitchen was outstanding. We ate our breakfast and dinner at the hotel for our entire stay. We will definitely return to this hotel and we have been telling everyone about our most memorable and delightful stay at the Villa Belvedere Hotel. This is a very nice, moderately priced hotel in a nice, quiet village on the lake. The hotel itself is right on the lake, and you can eat and sit and relax, right on the lakeshore. Get a room with a lake view, it is a must. The restaurant is excellent. They have a nice menu, and with 24 hours notice, they will make any, repeat, any Italian dish you want. They mean it, and it is good. The service of the hotel is not warm and fuzzy, but rather more efficient. That being said, stay here.j

My husband and I have been returning to Villa Belvedere since 1992. Every time we arrive we get the same overwhelming pleasure of this beautiful, magnificent location on Lake Como. I think is was our 9th visit this year and as usual the warm welcome makes us feel at home. The lake view rooms are the best. Eating is a true Italian experience with the freshest of local produce and an amazing wine cellar full of specially sought after varieties. One can never be disappointed sitting out by the lake sipping an 'aperol spritz' watching the ferries arrive nearby.
You don't need your car once you arrive as the ferries take you everywhere. A true relaxing holiday at one of the gems in the north of Italy.

We have stayed here several times and always look forward to our visit. Just steps away from the ferry service and out of the hectic Bellago area, the Villa Belvedere in Argegno has a great restaurant and wonderful setting right on the lake. Room 7 is the best but rooms 6 or 15 are very good also. Family run for decades, it is a must stop on any trip to Europe.
