The hotel's add was very misleading, it gives the feeling of a villa style hotel in open spaces but it is a main road hotel. The room we where given had twin beds and was next to reception so it was very noisy. We paid extra to get a lake view and seeing we were on the ground floor the view was only visible if you stood on your toes.
The women on the reception desk were lovely but the manager was very arrogant and treated my husband like an idiot when he asked how to open the huge window/door in our room. (It had a big sign on it indicating we would pay for damages so my husband took no chances and asked.)
The room had mosquitoes in it so they buzzed and bit all night. For the price and the add, it was sadly disappointing.
Apart from all that, the area is stunning with huge mountain cliffs falling away to the beautiful lake Como.

I used to go to this hotel for business reasons In Mandello.
When I last went there I had the most disappointing surprise, the managment changed.
No more family friendliness, no more charm, cold rooms, sad faces and no eggs, juice or hams at breakfast.
So so sad. I'll never come back!

You can't beat the scenery at this location. The breakfast was outstanding with views of the lake while eating. The rooms were clean and comfortable, very roomy, great bathroom. The only thing we had a slight problem with was the train. It was close to the station but could've used more frequent stops. If you had a car, it would be perfectly fine to stay here. Very convenient to take the ferry to Bellaggio and Menaggio, anywhere really. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very nice stay.

We stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel to be very clean and with good sized bedrooms. The views are stunning and it is only a very short walk to the lake front and lovely public park area! We had breakfast on the terrace with wonderful views of the Lake! The breakfast was more than ample, with good choices. The hotel appears to be family run and the staff are very helpful, giving us times of trains and places of interest. The train station is only 5 - 10 minutes walk from the hotel which allowed us to visit other towns on Lake Como. The restaurant next door to the hotel is excellent and well worth a visit! We did not have a car while in the area and found it was no problem using the public transport and would return to this hotel again.
