This hotel is built over six floors. The reception is at street level when entering the building, but on the inside it is actually level four. The main restaurant and bars are situated on level three.
There are lifts to all floors, but not all lifts go to all floors,so you have to make sure you're in the right lift for the floor you want to go too.All areas are kept clean to a very high standard and the hotel is in a good state of repair in all areas.
We had a room on the second floor that overlooked the pool area. The room was of a good size and like the rest of the site kept very clean.
We have stayed at Iberostar properties in other parts of the world on an all inclusive basis, and that was why we chose to do the same at this resort. However the level of all inclusive service offered here was not as good as the service we have experienced in other Iberostar hotels.
There was none of the usual "extras" that make this hotel chain popular with us.
There was no tea or coffee making facility, the'fridge was stocked with water but no soft drinks or beer. The hotel did not offer room service,or indeed waiter service anywhere on site.Pool towels had to be hired for 5 euros a week, and could only be changed at reception every two days. There was a safe in the room, but the key had to be obtained again from reception at a cost of 20 euros. There was however a sink and two ring electric cooker in the room, presumably for guests wanting self-catering.But there was no cutlery, crockery or kitchen utensils, perhaps these would be supplied at check-in if needed.
There is no charm or character about this hotel,it is functional.
Anybody wanting to stay here for whom English is their first language would be advised to learn some simple Spanish,or better,German phrases.Other than reception, whose English is passable, the rest of the staff do not expect to be addressed in English. They expect to be addressed in German. At one time my wife tried to order,in English, two cups of coffee. After some time the bartender had put a large array of empty glasses and bottles on the bar,but no coffee.I do know some Spanish and eventually had to place the order. After five days of dealing with the same bartenders, they still would only speak to us in German. The answer,I found,Was to ask them "what"in Spanish.
With only four other guests speaking English and a non-existent tour rep,not the fault of the hotel obviously,we soon started to feel isolated. And as comfortable as this hotel is and as good as the catering is,we found a week is long enough.
