Just got back from our 2 week stay ( December ) at the Faro Jandia Hotel.
First of all there is a just under a 2hour transfer by coach as this hotel was the last drop-off. Check-in was quick and effecient with a glass of cava. We had a ground floor room with a good size terrace with table and 2 reclining chairs with padded covers plus 2 drinks tables. The room was a good size, plenty of drawer and wardrobe space, plus sofa and armchair, plus large coffee table. There was a room safe 1.8 euros per day. Tea and coffee making facilities topped up every couple of days. Staff were all very helpful and polite, good english spoken on reception and dining room. On check-in you will be asked if you want first ( 18.00 - 20.00hrs or second sitting ( 20.00 - 21.30 ). In restaurant see the maitre-de who will allocate your table for the duration of your holiday. We found the food to be very good with plenty of choice. Pool area with plenty of beds with parasol and table for every 2 beds. Pool toewls will be in your room and can be changed as often as you wish with the pool lifeguard ( no deposit required ). Outside pool heated in the winter ( 24deg ). Nearest Supermarket ( 3 mins ), turn left out of the hotel turn left at the next corner and you are there. Further down the road there is a spar supermarket about 15 mins. We will return to this Hotel.

We ( 4 + 1 child ) stayed in this hotel 1 week at the end of Nowember..
The personal was very helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and with the good sea view.
The situation of hotel was good, near the beach and shops and you could find the parking place for the car easily. The food was very good. They changed the breakfast and buffee dinner a lot every day. They had also some specialies every day. It was also very nice that the water in pool was warmed. The only minus was that on the whole pool area the smoking was allowed. My proposal is that the pool will be divided in the future two different parts one for the smokers and the other one no smoking. Totally this hotel is at least 4 +. In this hotel the management with their personal has succeeded very well.

This was our second visit to the Hotel this Year and we had a fabulous time. The Hotel is set in a lovely position-secluded away from all the shops but close enough to near enough to look around them. Food excellent and our room was spotless- the staff were attentive yet did not pester you in any way.
The gym was good and spa beautiful.
I have just read CCF fan review. Am sorry you did not have the opportunity to visit but as this happened to us a couple of years ago , through Thompsons, I know the reason why as I officially complained and recvd an explanation and compensation from them. In this country we usually book a package deal and the money is not sent to the Hotel until just before you travel. In the meantime if people book over the phone directly and pay up front the allocation is reduced. Also according to a german travel agent over there in Fuerteventura their companies pay the Hotels many weeks earlier and so are guaranteed a room. This is one of many reasons that our german friends do seem to get better service. But in their defense they do tip about 4 times the amount I do and I think I am pretty generous.I think you should formally complain to TCook as the Barcelo is ok but not on the same level as the Faro.
