9 of us went in October 3 kids 6 adults. Has a good time. The food was fab we had 3 choices and a snack bar 12-7. No entertainment but the Hollywood bar is 5 steps away which was good. Would go again but probably in season. The staff were fab Mitch and Roberto looked after us all week.

Im a 14 year old girl who visited sol cala d'or in august, i went with my family of 4 and another family of 4, it was a very clean, nice general place to be in with friendly staff and nice food. Although the food was nice, towards the end of the 11 days it did get quite repetitive, but don't get me wrong it was nice. The entertainment for people my age was lacking in the hotel but there was an internet cafe and games room across the road which kept me occupied most nights. Some people might say not for teenagers but it depends when you go- i went and made friends but for others there may not of being people their age there but there more than likely was to make friends with! I had an amazing time staying in this hotel! just to let you know if you see the lucky lucky men on the bridge near the most amazing ice cream place ever (you'll know who i mean if i go) just take a minute to speak to them- they made my holiday, theyre such nice people!

dont listen to any bad reviews, i was very worried after reading them but arrived back home yesturday. had a great holiday, apartments very clean and well equipped. me and my partner travelled here for the first time ever abroad, no entertainment at hotel but lots of bars around, hollywood bar across the road and tropical gardens bar was the best one, we went there every night good live shows and mini disco for children, very friendly staff and a great atsphere. if your looking for a clubbing night out theres farrers that opens 12am till 6am only 5mins away.
only bad point didnt really like the food at any of the resturants around but tropical garden does nice english fry ups in the morning. cant coment on the food at sol cala dor resturant as we didnt eat there. sun bed are 2 euro for the day which some complain about but who c ares your on holiday. lots of trips around like palma aquarium and caves of drach and also glass bottom boat trips, overal had a great holiday.

We visted here August 2011 for 2 weeks, hotel was clean and room was of good standard, room was cleaned every other day & cleaning staff very polite, reception staff & bar staff not so friendly and didn't seem to know how to smile.
There was a charge for sunbeds 2 euros which you could get at 10am each morning, but this did not stop people still putting towels out at 6am on white chairs and placing round the pool.
Our brochure said there was pool activities, quizzies bingo & entertainment, in the whole 2 weeks we saw not 1 of the above, that when we returned back to hotel at 9-30pm most nights the bar was empty with no atmosphere. we had travelled with a 14 year old & 12 year old, i complained to reception and explained that there was none of the activities that was in brouchure, and i was told it was a family hotel so i said was my 14 & 12 year old not counted has family, there reply was it was a small children family hotel, not been happy with this comment i then went to see our rep saying that in all my holidays abroad i have never had my children saying they wanted to go after 1 week till now because they were bored, to be told also by them that the hotel was not really for teenagers also cala dor was not really for teenagers, we had booked the holiday on there recomendation.
Cala dor is very nice with 6 coves that get very busy, the shops are mainly craft shops and jewellery shops, there are lots of eating place.
Would we go back there sorry no, it maybe for some people but not for us
