Short stay in June 09. The building is easy to locate in the town and is a beach side property with pools and sun terraces. Though the hotel is looking dated in design, the accommodation is nicely proportioned, and all have balconies. (those facing the beach have a nice open outlook). Rooms have small kitchenettes (...behind doors..) and good sized bathrooms. Plenty of wardrobe space, and air conditioning if needed. Breakfast is served in a large function room and is a buffet of toast, pastries, cereals, fresh fruit, juice, hot drinks, cold meats and cheeses. Plenty of staff on hand and the area kept clean and tidy during service. Evening meals also served here in a similar format. Pool side bar on site too as well as games room. The town is easy to get to on foot with many good small bars and restaurants only a couple of minutes walk. the beach too is right in front of the hotel, the marina is opposite, and the hotel can arrange tours etc to Peniscola, Castelleon etc and the attractions near by. Plenty of taxis to hand, and free car parking right outside if using a hire car. Built as two large blocks, there are some steps to negotiate around the premises, but also ramps if needed. A lift serves all floors. NB: a nightclub in the basement might cause some issues with noise for the rooms on lower levels on occasion, but check with Reception if upper floors are available as this won't be an issue then. The stay was as part of a booking with a traditional music group performing in the region, and the hotel was most helpful in allowing use of space for rehersal and relaxation after the events. In general, a nice place to stay - clean, good staff, efficient service and value for money in an established Spanish resort.
