I was horrified when I went to bed and I realized I didn't have clean pillowcases on my bed. There is nothing worse than climbing into sheets that have been used by someone else. We visited at the end of the season, late October, so I know they were winding down their season, but there is no excuse for this! Also, when we checked in, the receptionists had smiles on their faces, but they weren't friendly. When we asked questions about the area, they kind of smirked at us and didn't offer up any helpful information. Finally, maintenance was pounding a hammer in the room below ours at 7:00 a.m. They were doing some repair work, but that's a bit early when you have guests in the room above it.
The location was nice, although it is by the old port, not the new port where most ferries dock, so you do need to take a taxi or bus. It would be a very long walk.
Thankfully the shopkeepers on the island were friendly and helpful!
